“First, the elevators were old, dirty, and rickety - as though they had forgotten about them in the renovations. The carpet in the room was full of stains. The overall sense was that cleaning was a low priority.”

“The Sheraton in University City Philadelphia is a conveniently located hotel, next two two universities. It is also close to the Amtrak station. Accommodations are excellent and the staff was most helpful.”

“Great hotel in the U of Penn area. Comfortable beds. Internet access and computer in the room. A little pricey especially during peak periods like graduation week. Nice outdoor pool for an in city location.”

“Under remodeling on some floors, (noisy during the day) no laundry facilities. Overpriced (next to University of Penn.). Staff was efficient but I would not describe them as warm.”

“It was a pleasant place. Parking was nasty, but that is everywhere in the city. The lobby decor was nice but the rooms were dated and worn out. There was a lot of noise, trash trucks, sirens, doors slamming, voices.”

“This was unlike any other Sheraton in which I've stayed. The room was tiny & dirty; we saw a couple of small bedbugs. We ordered room service 5 times - not once was it delivered correctly. Had to hold on the phone for long periods of time to order room service & for concierge/housekeeping requests.”

“Mostly typical of an older Sheraton property: Nice, traditionally-decorated lobby and somewhat updated guest rooms with good, non-Center City Philadelphia location. Wear and tear throughout a little more noticeable that I expected, but it was the gaps in service that really surprised me: my room not being made up on two days until after 2 p.m.; a tray of obviously used glassware and utensils left in the room after housekeeping had come and gone twice; disinterested and uninvolved attendant in the club floor breakfast room with meager breakfast items that ran out early (virtually down to crumbs before 8 a.m. ).”
