  • Room was well lit & comfortable and staff was wonderful.
  • TV could not be seen from both beds-parking tough to get to.

“Staff was great. Rooms were lovely. Everyone was pleasant and helpful. Parking was very expensive.”

  • Staff was helpful.
  • We had to pay for valet parking because none option were there.

“Everything was satisfactory but everyone who books there should be advised ahead of time that there is no parking area and you must pay for valet parking $32 each night. This is a significant added cost. There is a parking deck a couple of blocks away but you cannot access your vehicle before 9AM.”

  • Its proximity to Penn.
  • Food was overpriced.

“Overall it is a wonderful place to stay when visiting the Philadelphia area.”

  • Proximity to Drexel University.
  • Cost for Valet parking was excessive at $32/day.

“Common spaces are decorated in the style of the Arts & Crafts movement, complete with architectural drawings on the walls, paintings, and building signage. Because of our short stay, we didn't use the hotel facilities, like the health club, however, we did have breakfast and dinner at the 2 onside restaurants. The University Club and Penne, respectively. Both are overpriced, a modest hot breakfast buffet cost $17 and a plate of fresh pasta for dinner cost $20. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, offering assistance without being asked and hotel staff were always present and easy to find. The rooms were comfortable and clean, but not large for a 4 star hotel.”

  • Rooms lived up to a high star rating.

“A
quick taxi ride or a 15 minute walk from the train station lands you in a very nice hotel room.”

  • I really appreciated the friendliness of the staff and the helpfulness of thei concierge
  • I did not like the fact that our room was not done until we asked the front office to send someone

“Excellent hotel. I will be back. Excellent price”

  • Very clean and upscale.
  • Parking was horrible.

“They have no parking garage, plenty of street parking, but all metered, meter maids are vultures. You can use valet at a hefty price, major scam.”

  • Great location!
  • Internet access was expensive!

“Good location. Fancy hotel with nice furnishings, linens, etc. Internet access was expensive. They still have smoking floors!”

  • It was across the street from Penn, which I was visiting.
  • No free breakfast.

“The hotel was very nice, clean and comfortable. The location was perfect for the University of Penn.”

  • Clean and high class.
  • A charge of $9.95 per day to use the internet service was not expected.

“An upscale hotel almost perfect in very area except the charge on internet usage.”

  • It was excellent location and everyone was very friendly and helpful.
  • The beds were small and not very comfotable.

“This hotel is very nice, had no problems with staff and when I called to say I would be late, they held the room and everything. It was wonderful experience except for the beds.”

  • Loved the location, close to UPenn.
  • Did not like location of our room -- view of roof/building.

“Excellent, friendly staff. Convenient location to help our son move into dorms at UPenn.”

  • The friendly staff.
  • There was nothing I did not like.

“From the moment we spotted the hotel, nestled in the campus, serene yet convenient we were excited and the hotel exceeded our expectations. The staff could not have been more helpful and friendly, the rooms were large, clean, and updated. The air conditioning worked perfectly. We cannot wait to return to Philly just for the Inn at Penn.”

Cleanliness:[10] • Staff:[10] • Location:[10]

  • Friendly staff and they were attentive to see that the room was well kept.
  • The view from my room was rather industrial.

“I thought the hotel was great and very conveniently located close to Univ of Pennsylvania. The staff was courteous and when our toilet clogged, someone came right up to fix it. The beds were comfortable and the linens were fresh and clean. The overall look of the room was rather plush especially the pillows. The staff checked with us daily to make sure the room was clean and everything was in order. It was and I thought it was a really nice hotel.”

Cleanliness:[10] • Staff:[10] • Location:[10]

  • Location felt safe and was convenient to public transportation to city center. Very clean and plush - an excellent accommodation.
  • Concierge recommended a restaurant that was way out of our price range; double beds were not big enough.

“The Hilton Inn at Penn was a great hotel. All staff was very courteous. The room was attractive, clean, comfortable and except for the double beds (which were a little too small for a good night's sleep), everything met or exceeded our expectations.”
