“Hotel met our needs as a stay over until our destination the following morning. The simple things were left undone, i.e. the remote didn't work. The man at the counter seemed confused, and bothered by the presence of my dog. And my dog was the nicest looking thing in the hotel by far!”

“It did seem a little old, but it was clean and comfortable. The front desk clerk was very nice and provided us with directions to a movie theater. The breakfast in the morning was good, but there wasn't a lot of room to sit down and eat.”

“It was an old hotel and some of the walls in my room were cracked and had spider webs. The hallway stunk like cigarettes although it's a non-smoking floor (maybe because of the carpeting). This was a family hotel and because of the cost attracted some lower class guests as was displayed by my neighbors whose parents were shouting at each other in an argument at 6:30am. Some choice words were heard and they definitely had kids. Hotel was sub-standard.”

“The rooms themselves were ok. You can clearly see this is a hotel in transition. It has new carpeting and marble counters for the sinks. Unfortunately the bathroom hadn't gotten upgraded and it also smelled of urine. The "continental" breakfast consisted of cereal that you scooped out of a bin (which spilled everywhere), milk in the plastic jug placed on the counter and not kept cold, some packaged waffles and beagles Of course all of this was in an area that if there was more than 2 people, you had nowhere to turn. There weren't any tables to sit at- just one sofa. Thank goodness we had this for just the one night. This was by no means a 2 star hotel- I would say it was a 1 star. We will not be going to this hotel ever again.”

“My family and I spent one night at the Allentown, PA HOJO's and what a disappointment it was! It was dirty....I'm so glad I brought our own bed covers and comforter. I was also smart enough to bring my three-year olds towel from home. I asked for a non-smoking room when I made the reservation (one week before), but the room we got reeked of cigarette smoke; we were "upgraded" to another room where it didn't smell. HOWEVER, the carpet was filthy, the shower curtain was moldy, the shower was dirty as well. We all made sure to keep our house slippers on when we took a shower. I used the towel we brought from home for my son and when I used one of the hotel towels for myself, there were traces of hair and menstrual blood on it!! At this point I was screaming so my husband had to go down and explain this to the front desk person. They sent up "fresh" towels but I had already used my sons. We were totally sleeved and WOULD NEVER stay there again! Had we not spent the whole day at Dorney Park and been exhausted we would have ran out of there. The woman at the desk was very apologetic and gave us a 20% off coupon for our next stay at one of the other HOJO's but that didn't make up what we had to put up with. Also, the bathroom on the main floor stunk of any and all body orders one can imagine. There were even old stuck on traces of urine on the toilet. Unfortunately, 1 is the lowest rating we can give for cleanliness because as far as I'm concerned it should be a ZERO!!!”
