  • Comfortable beds, great service and a double tree cookie.
  • 15 pay to park.

  • Lobby was clean and attractive.
  • Ran out of coffee in lobby early, ran out of hot apple cider.

“The first night we had a room by the pool and hated it because of the pool smell and there was no outside window.The second night we moved up to another floor. It was very nice. I wish we never saw the first room because it was not pleasant.”

  • The only thing I liked was the comfort of the bed after I replaced the linen and bedspread with my own.

  • Cookies were offered, bed was comfortable!
  • Noise traveled between rooms.

“Overall clean and comfortable. Relatively convenient but Wilmington is not suited for tourism. Staff was courteous and helpful, but not knowledgeable about city general information.”

  • The room was very comfortable and clean. Bed was extremely comfortable!
  • Seemed short-staffed at the front desk.

“Rooms are very comfortable and clean. Shuttle service is offered for getting around town with ease. Unfortunately, the small staff seems to be overworked.”

  • The staff was absolutely great. Very helpful and friendly.
  • $15.00 a day for parking.

  • Bed was great, and AC worked good.
  • Confusion with hotel parking.

“Good hotel. Bed was fantastic! AC cooled the room. Some noise from other "rowdy" guests one night, but overall, not bad.”

  • Beds are very comfortable, staff
    is friendly.
  • Parking is not free. Either $10 or $15 depending if you pay through the hotel or not.

“We were given rooms with a view of a huge concrete block! Rooms are OK but not luxurious. Beds are great. Restaurant menu seemed expensive.”

  • Very comfortable bed and quiet. Bathroom was very modern and up to date.
  • Slow and old elevators; not enough wait staff on duty in the restaurant and bar.

“Good location, helpful and friendly staff, comfortable room and bed, updated bathroom. The hotel is obviously old but nicely updated. The convenience of the location makes up for the inconvenience of slow elevators and understaffed restaurant and bar. The hotel needs to do a better job anticipating demand at its eateries for big weekends.”

“We were pleasantly surprised to find such a high quality hotel and friendly staff in a neighborhood which we were unsure of in terms of safety. It was a very good experience overall, especially the beds which were excellent.”

  • Loved the quiet. Loved the cookies, coffee, sheets, down comforter and pillows.
  • Did not like the parking fee.

  • Very clean indoor pool area.
  • Area is not too safe at night.

“Good location for us since we went to a concert just a few blocks away. Would be good for business considering it's downtown location. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Room was kind of small but clean. Perhaps because we had a smoking room. Not sure what non smoking rooms would be like.”

  • The hotel guests were loud and obnoxious and noisy staff did not make them stay quiet.

“The clientele at this hotel was primarily African-Americans who seemed to have no sense that proper etiquette is that you are quiet in the halls and do not slam the doors and yell in the hallways. Hotel staff made one phone call and did very little else. They have lost my business as this has happened in the past.”

  • Room decor, proximity to Riverfront Walk, chocolate chip cookie upon arrival.
  • Day 1, we reported "stopped-up toilet" and same problem occurred day 2&3. When we checked out, still a problem.

“We were totally disappointed with this particular hotel. At check in, staff was slow and took 2 phone reservations while we waited. Throughout our stay, desk staff was not very cordial or helpful. After reporting plumbing problem 3 days in a row, still had to use lobby restroom day of departure. We will definitely not return!”

  • Nice room, good location.
  • I didn't like the room I was given.

“It was a nice, clean, comfortable room, but it was a handicapped room on the first floor across from conference rooms. In stead of a window I had a sliding glass door right next to the indoor pool. Since the pool was in almost constant use I had to keep my drapes closed. I felt like I was in a cave.”

  • I was scared to death driving there, due to location.

“The hotel was nice, but felt very unsafe parking in lot below hotel, taking secluded elevator to lobby. Questionable folks leaving hotel. I would not have wanted to be there without my husband.”
