  • The cookie at check-in.
  • Bathroom.

“Hotel suited its purpose. Staff very nice and welcoming. Rooms were fine. Bathroom was small and not very comfortable. They did their best with an old hotel.”

  • Soap was good. Water pressure was good.

“This is a 1.5 to 2 star hotel posing as a 3 star. It is old and worn out. Housekeeping was poor and spotty. Sometimes you would get new towels or washcloths. Sometimes you had to go to the desk to request them. The Kleenex dispenser was empty in my room for three days. The toilet paper was not replenished when there was only 1/8 of a roll left. The parking was an extra $12 dollars per day. There were no other parking options except to park on the street in a scary neighborhood. The front desk staff was indifferent and a little snooty. This hotel is located in an area that you would not feel comfortable walking around in after dark. There were two separate false fire alarms that woke us up at 2:30 am. When I asked the staff about them there was no apology offered. Overall rotten experience. Would only recommend this hotel to someone against whom I had a grudge.”

  • The breakfast buffet was good and priced right.
  • The parking situation at this hotel was ridiculous. $12.00 per day in a three star hotel. Come on!

“The hotel was adequate at best. The rooms were recently renovated it appeared, but the rest of the hotel was showing its age. The elevators were in desperate need of upgrading and no permits, inspections or limits were posted inside. The secondary elevator to the parking garage barely fit a person and one suitcase.”

  • Front desk staff, guest room decor, comfortable beds.
  • If there had been a function, our 2nd floor location would have been miserable.

  • The desk staff especially Yvette was so nice and helpful.
  • The neighborhood was a little scary after dark.

“I was treated like a valued guest at this hotel. Yvette at the front desk helped me with check in to change to a non smoking room and check in early. She took time with me to suggest a place to eat and give me directions. In the morning she helped me find a church to go to. More hotels should have clerks like this. The room was beautiful and the bed was like a cloud. I would highly recommend this hotel if you are in Wilmington or Philadelphia.”

  • Accommodated my concerns regarding lack of hot water and offered complimentary meal.
  • No hot water for our entire stay, we were not told when we registered, we received apologies but I had to ask for it to be accommodated.

“It was less than 3-star and the customer service were spotty. Restaurant is expensive for the quality.”

  • Hotel staff was very accommodating.
  • Had to pay extra for parking.

“Nice hotel. I chose the wrong time to be at the hotel due to the functions involving children. They were noisy. One child knocked on my door and ran. Other customers must have complained because security was called. Their parents were down stairs and wasn't aware of their childrens' behavior. Next time I think I will try the other doubletree in Wilmington.”

  • Close to downtown courts.
  • Drab, noisy and in the middle of a combat zone with limited food and facilities.

“This unpleasant business alternative to sleeping on the streets is conveniently located next to court buildings, but I recommend that you avoid this downtown Wilmington location unless absolutely necessary.”

  • I liked the cleanliness of the room and the hotel and It was very attractive.
  • I did not like the fact that I was double charged for my stay accidentally and my breakfast was delayed due to a mistake of a staff member.

  • Great Neutrogena products, superior towels, comfy & many pillows, down like comforter.
  • Elevators, one out of service and other was very slow.

“Excellent for young couple or business traveler. Good for family if you are just looking for a very clean, affordable upscale hotel. Not a lot going on around hotel, neighborhood somewhat sketchy, but within two blocks of some great coffee and bagel shops, and restaurants. We loved it and would stay there again.”

  • It is a very nice hotel.
  • Who ever cleans the rooms left a dirty washcloth over the shower. It was a turnoff. They did not clean the bathroom at all. It was not enough wash clothes.

  • The two guys at the check in were great guides, friendly.
  • Windows do not open and fan is too loud.

“Although the staff was very helpful in telling us about the town etc, the hotel room did not have windows that open, making us claustrophobic, as well as a fan that was so loud we couldn't sleep. We were caught between noise or no air. Less than I would expect from a 3 star hotel. The room was decorated nice enough, the bath products great.”

  • Choc chip cookie, great room, and friendly service.
  • Horrible location, not safe for walking even in daytime, $9 day for parking not mentioned in offer.

“Very friendly staff most of the time; good room service food and delivery; excellent room, very nice and comfy, some screaming kids running down hall, but that is not the hotel's fault; you have to have a car or take a cab, the area is horrible even in the daytime; my daughters were verbally insulted just driving to the hotel area; good theatre and restaurants near, but do not walk; even driving after dark is dangerous unless you know right where you are.”

  • Not much of a complaint had to pay for parking not too expensive.
