• The rooms were neat and comfortable.
• Had to pay extra for parking.

“The hotel itself was very nice. However, as a result of the hotel's location, there is no street parking or parking lot attached to the hotel. There is a parking structure a few doors down that hotel, customers can park at for a discounted rate of $9.50 per night. Also, the parking structure was not well monitored and upon leaving my car one evening to enter the elevator to get to the hotel, I was faced with two younger, drunk men. It made me rather uneasy. There was a nightclub down the street from the hotel right by the parking garage and drunk people came and went all night in the parking garage. I would have enjoyed my stay more, had the parking lot been attached to the hotel rather than a separate structure.”

• Courtesy van took us to and back from a wedding.
• All was fine.

“It had everything you needed if I was a planned long weekend seems the pool was very nice. I just didn't have time to appreciate all that was there. The bar was a little pricey but the breakfast buffet was excellent and reasonable.”

• The pool is really nice and the water is warm.
• I would have preferred a king sized bed.

“I love the Hilton in Scranton. It is convenient to everything Downtown and is really clean and upscale. The beds are very high end with pillow tops and the pool and workout room are the best in the area.”

• The bed and the linens were very comfortable.
• The bathroom floor was cold.

“There was no door man or parking attendant to meet us at the front of the hotel. However, once we figured how to enter; the atmosphere was lovely and the front desk people were very pleasant. There was no help with the suitcases and no bellboy. They had to shifted to the 4th floor on our own. The room was lovely and had a nice view of holiday decor. We were there for family gathering and had a great time. The price was right for a Thanksgiving holiday. We would stay there again.”

• Easy car access, luggage rack avail. Very clean.
• Horribly service at grill.

“I, daughter + 2 young grandkids waited 2 hrs to get served. Waitresses totally ignored us until we had to complain. They never even came to take a drink order, walked right by us. Had to get up to find a manager to get us some food & drinks. Then all of a sudden in 3 mins all the food and drinks came out, dumped on a table next to us, gave us watered down drinks. Food was a little warm, over fried. We had a great stay in the hotel, very clean, great day in town and then back, tired to that service with two little kids in tow. It was the worst service I have ever had anywhere I have gone. I was really surprised. But no wonder. I watched the waitresses and they were catering to guys and other heavy drinkers. They should be fired as far as I am concerned. I would go back to the hotel but never eat there again. We held off complaining as we are not complainers but that was just too much.”

• I was given a handicap room with no tub, and I needed a soak.

• Receptionist at time of booking in was like a robot - emotionless. A smile would have been nice.

“Really decent hotel; I travel extensively and was pleasantly surprised: the room was big and AC was quiet! Food was super and facilities excellent. I had my sons with me on this trip and even they appreciated the subtle extra comforts! Will definitely stay there again.”

• Professional staff that was friendly and helpful. Clean, nicely decorated lobby and room.
• The garage was somewhat inconvenient.

“We were pleasantly surprised that the hotel was so nicely decorated, well maintained, clean and had a comfortable feel. The staff was very professional, helpful and pleasant. We did not have to stay in Scranton as our destination was a bit further but we were happy we did. An overnight at this Hilton made our trip enjoyable. The location made it great to see the town "on foot" It was the perfect choice for us!”

• The service from the staff was almost like an imposition when we had a question.

“The hotel itself was beautiful. We were a little put off by the actual location though. It is right in the middle of town in what looked like a rough area. But it was clean and once we were inside, we felt completely safe and comfortable.”

“The hotel is conveniently located in a revitalized downtown Scranton near the Steam Town national historic site. The room was very clean and comfortable and the staff quite helpful.”
