• Excellent location, nice views.
• The pool is very dirty and poorly ventilated, strong chlorine smell.

“Everything is good except for the indoor pool. Breakfast is very nice unless you are late (not much left), and the trolleys for luggages are kept inappropriately by hotel guests in their room! This was a major turn-off for us.”

• It was in a great location and the price was affordable to our blue collar working family.
• Missed the fact that there wasn't a microwave in our room.

“The hotel was clean and newly renovated. The indoor pool was a bit small and the hottub was in constant use by children so we didn't get to enjoy it. Missed having an outdoor pool to lounge by. Overall, the hotel room was pleasant, the view from the balcony was great, and we had a good stay. We would definitely stay here again.”

• Nothing.
• The mess, the safety, the construction workers.

“In short, the pool, lobby, elevators, restaurant exterior and the rooms were under construction. The hotel management staff did not made any attempt to make us more comfortable”

• The staff was very helpful. Out of the three shifts we encountered, they were all pleasant and very helpful!
• I did not like that the room did not have a microwave. There was one downstairs but since we have a new born one in the room would have been better.

• Great location, clean, friendly, perfect spot for all the sites.
• Parking.

“The view was great. Room was nice. Location was the best you could get for the price. Fireworks were right in front of our hotel. Over all I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting this area.”

• The view, safe location, and nice staff.
• There were some weird (fruit?) flies that were coming in through the bathroom tile.

“It was expensive, but the view, staff, safety, and location were all excellent. My only complaint would be that some sort of weird insect (fruit flies?) were coming in through a crack in the bathroom tile and were all over the shower and bathroom. Overall experience was 9/10.”

• Great location - right on the beach.
• Parking is very limited.

“Overall great stay. Nice hotel. Great location right along the beach, Boardwalk, etc. Close to restaurants etc. Room was clean. The hotel clean, well maintained. Lots of families which means no loud parties etc. In short I'd definitely recommend a stay here.”

• Beach access: Convenient to restaurants and shopping.
• Elevators were hot.

“Hotel staff was very friendly and the rooms were clean. The kids loved being able to sit on the balcony and look at the beach. Valet parking made it convenient considering the busy location.”

• Beds were ridiculously uncomfortable.

“The hotel is clean and has room service. It is also right on the boardwalk. The pool is tiny, bad for adults, great for children. The hotel restaurant closes early also (9:30 p.m).”

• I like the hotel and love to go there again.
• The restaurant in the hotel food taste horrible and this is the only thing I did not like in the hotel.

“As I said earlier on I personally like the hotel but not the restaurant and if they can do something about it then that will be great.”

• Liked being right at the boardwalk and directly onto beach.
• Parking was hard to find at the hotel and their satellite parking places. Would rather be able to see my vehicle from room.

• Oceanfront rooms/upscale for a great price.
• Restaurant was not open/but it was off-season.

“The hotel was great I requested and received a king bed, the rooms were clean, staff was very helpful and courteous, the location was fine, it was at a quiet section of the beach. I would definitely stay there again for the price. I would recommend it also. This hotel allows dogs, but I only noticed them when I left the room and saw them.”

• The location of the hotel was great in relation to the boardwalk strip.
• There was a college party in the banquet room bringing in allot of noise late night.

“I enjoyed the hotel overall. We enjoyed our view and central location on the boardwalk. The in-house food was good, but due to party they had very little of what the menu said. I would have also liked them to keep better control of the college kids who were loud and rude during there party.”

• Bring your own beach towels!

“The front desk staff person was exceptionally nice, housekeeping staff were friendly and accommodating, the room was great with balcony overlooking ocean, the beds were comfortable. Nice location in the heart of VA Beach resort area. No complaints whatsoever.”

“Accommodations were adequate and the people were nice enough. I was expecting more for the star rating it had. I have young children and they failed to tell me that the pool would be out of commission my entire stay. They arranged for us to use the pool next door at the Marriott. I would have much rather just booked my stay there then have to run back and fourth from hotel to hotel. The view from the room was great right on the beach.”

• The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful.
• The key card to our room stopped working a day before we checked out.

“Overall, it was a pleasant stay. Movies in the room are very expensive, but my friend and I weren't in the room for a long amount of time. At one point, we asked if we could use a microwave to heat up some leftovers and they actually sent us up a spare one for the room. That was kinda cool. The view is awesome, since all rooms face the ocean and overlook the boardwalk. The location is prime; right near restaurants, a few bars, some shops. One of the attractions on the beach is horseback riding where you get on the horses is right outside the hotel. All-in-all, it was a pleasant stay and I'd probably stay there next time. The price was appropriate for the place.”
