“Excellent location, for the price. Right in the immediate beach area. Only one elevator for the entire hotel, housekeeping could have been better, overall would recommend it to family and friends as affordable, and convenient.”

“The stay was horrible. The counter clerk processed our visit without saying anything to us, other then can I see your identification. The patio door had no lock, and all patios are attached. The facilities guy brought a stick to block the door. They claimed they had no other rooms available, although we could clearly see there were empty rooms on our floor. We got no sleep because there were drunks to the left and right of us, and our patio door was not secured. It was our first time in Virginia Beach, and we spent most of the time in the room in fear of our personal things being stolen. We kept dragging our luggage in and out to the car. They had only had basic cable. The drain in the bathroom sink was clogged. So we rigged the stopper with a bar of soap to get it to work. There was no trash cans in the room, and six lamps with only two working light bulbs. The entire trip was horrible.”

• Nothing! Staff was unfriendly, no customer service skills at all, smelly, trashy, ghetto.
• Smelly, trashy ghetto, trash in parking lot, front desk staff absolutely no customer service skills, phone didn't work.

“This was a horrible hotel to stay in. Location was okay, right across the main strip from the beach, but everything else about this hotel stunk, literally and figuratively speaking. You almost had to hold your breath to walk down the stairway, it has a funk that I can't even explain.”

“The rooms were warm and not so clean. We only had 3 towels for a family of 4 and we had to ask for clean towels the next day. They do not clean the rooms like they should.”

• The location of the hotel was perfect for enjoying the beach and the local shops. It's a great place to stay if you want to just rest your head.
• It was not the cleanest looking or feeling hotel but it was not bad.

“The hotel is in a great location. The staff is decent and the rooms are average. My room was fine but I heard others complaining about their room door not being able to lock. We were only staying at the beach for a day so it served its purpose of a good place to lay your head.”

• Convenient to shopping, beach, and convention center.
• The air conditioning units below balcony were noisy, no ice machine, vending machines not working, no free coffee after breakfast hours.

“Hotel was enjoyable. Easy access to Atlantic Ave Strip. Free parking was appreciated. Friendly personnel. Free HBO was great. Telephones need to be updated. Remotes for TV need to be given at check-in.”

• Location, convenience, affordable, pool, and right by beach.
• Elevators, smoky hallways, and employees smoking in lobby.

“The hotel staff was friendly, our room was clean, and we had no problems getting extra towels when we needed them. We were located right across the road from the beach, which was really convenient to us. The only bad things were that the elevator was definitely on the rickety side, and that the employees were smoking in the lobby. Other than that, it was not a bad stay, and fun was had by all on my girls weekend getaway.”

• It was in the absolute perfect location.
• It was really old and in desperate need of remodeling.

“The location of this hotel is great. Overall, the hotel isn't the worst place I've ever stayed, but it surely isn't the best by far. For the price, it's a good choice, just don't expect anything other than a place to pass out and take a shower. Cleanliness could be better but the place is so old it really doesn't matter at this point. Bring your own pillows and sheets. The TV is pretty typical of an economy hotel. The carpet seemed pretty clean, the bathroom floor needed scrubbed though. Parking can be an issue at times.”

“This hotel is in a prime location, but is very low scale as far as upkeep and appearance. Lobby is hot with dirty, old carpeting. Rooms are basically clean, but bed linens have cigarette burns and holes.”

• The room was equipped with a full-sized refrigerator.
• The bed was broken, the shower drain was clogged, and the ice machine didn't work.

“This was one of the dirtiest hotels that I have ever stayed at. One of the beds in my room was broken. The shower drain was clogged. The television's volume only reached a deaf whisper at its highest volume setting. The ice machine on our floor was more comparable to a water faucet. The security safe in our room was broken. The only thing that worked in our room was the air conditioner and the refrigerator. Only stay at this place if you are very desperate.”

• Location to the beach and air conditioner.
• My husband and I did not feel safe. We did not stay at the hotel. Waste of money.

“The doors to the hotel rooms looked like they were unlocked and would easily be kicked in. Once inside the hotel room, you could hear everything that was going on next door. The pool was dirty. The doors leading to the outside of the hotel were not locked (even after 9) and there were shady people around the hotel. My husband and I did not spend the night and instead drove home thus wasting the money that we spent on the hotel.”
