• Too few cookies.

“I feel like we win the lottery when we get to stay at this hotel. The staff are wonderful, helpful and they seem to love children. The rooms are updated, clean, and breakfast is delicious.”

• Roomy rooms.
• Poor quality control.

“Our room smelled used. A drop of blood was on one of the sheets. The pillows smelled. The sheets were not crisp as they were on past trips. The second night, we noticed the drop of blood was on the top sheet, duvet and bottom sheet. It became obvious that the sheets had not been changed from the last visitor.”

• The complimentary doubletree cookie.
• Our room was not as clean as possible.

“This hotel did not differ much from a 2 star hotel that we stayed at. The 2 star hotel offered complimentary breakfast too, where this 3 star hotel did not. The room did look new though, but the room cleaning personnel did not do too great of a job cleaning the room, it could have been more clean. There was hair all over the toilet seat cover. It was a new looking hotel, but feels about the same as a 2 star hotel in Syracuse.”

• Good bedding. Rooms decent.
• They put me in a smoking room and said the following.

“The hotel common areas are aging. Decent rooms. Shower did not have hot water. Less than ultimate stay.”

• People were friendly.
• No one could tell us where to get something to drink we melted ice from the ice machine.

“We were greeted by very friendly people. Our floor had a musty odor to it. No one could tell us until we checked out that there was a place by the service desk to get something to drink we asked 3 different people about vending machines no one knew of any we had to end up getting ice from the ice machine and letting it melt to have something to drink. The beds were very comfy but was not impressed with the rooms at all for a 3 star hotel. There was not a frig or a mike. We went to the store just to get a pair of trunks for my husband so we could go swimming and the pool was so cold you could not even get in it this was very discouraging we were really looking forward to relaxing at the pool. We ordered food in from the rest. and it was so bad we could not even eat it. The only thing this hotel had going for it were the staff, they were very friendly. We usually stay in a 2 star when we come to syracuse and our next trip we would rather be there then at this one.”

• Cheap!
• Gave us a room with one king bed.

“Not really a special hotel-room was small and noisy, staff unhelpful when asked about non-working key card to open a side hotel door ("it never works in the winter"), lots and lots of groups staying there so it was quite noisy.”

“This is my favorite hotel in the Syracuse area, conveniently located near a Thruway exit, but far enough away to avoid noise. It offers superb staff, clean rooms, and excellent dining as well.”

• Was Greeted with a smile, the lounge was friendly and the room clean. Very comfortable bed.
• Calamari was a little over cooked.

“When in Syracuse, stay at the Double Tree. Great cookies...fine wine...good times!”

• The bed was comfortable and the room clean.
• 20% service charge including 15% tip was automatically added to room service + there was a line on the precept for tips.

“The hotel was comfortable, clean and in a good location for us. The staff could have been more professional and I did not like that they charged a 20% service charge for room service including 15% tip and had a place on the room service receipt for tips.”

• Linens and beds are great! Also, the cookies were wonderful.
• The bath tile had red and black mold in the grout, there was no luggage stand and the air conditioner was noisy.

“I stayed there two night, Friday, and Sunday. The Friday night stay was perfect, Sunday the room was very disappointing.”

• Friendly staff, heated pool, and hot tub.
• Theres not much on the menu for children to choose from.

“Nice rooms and a friendly staff that will go out of their way to make you happy. Their is a heated pool, hot tub, sauna, and a fitness room, all open 6am until 11pm.we loved our stay hear.”

• 24 hour business centre, free parking, close to i-90 highway.
• Internet access in room was not complimentary.

“Liked the location close to i-90 highway, large room and bathroom, comfortable chairs, convenient business centre, free parking. Did not like the user pay arrangements for in-room internet access?”

• Cleaning staff hollering at each other from different rooms.

“We loved everything about our hotel except the noise that the cleaning staff made and the prices at the bar. Also, I ordered a cup of coffee at the bar and it was served in a Styrofoam cup and was cold. You'd think a hotel of Doubletree's quality would serve coffee in a regular cup or mug. Thankfully, a waitress took it and warmed it up for me.”
