• Location.
• Old hotel, horrible restaurant.

“This is an old hotel with metal doors to the rooms. The rooms are very average old style TVs. I went to the restaurant and ordered the nachos and the arrived with unseasoned meat, covered with Velveeta cheese. I told that help that I could get this meal for much less a 7-11. They gave me a free drink as compensation. Awful.”

• Good location, wasn't great but wasn't bad.
• Rooms were kind of oldies.

• Parking for the week while we flew to Florida.
• Smells like cigarette smoke everywhere.

• Only good thing was its location.
• Not 3 star and front desk even said so and coffee maker in room riddled with mould and broken could not use!

• Location.
• Outside entrance, no microwave, no refrigerator, no hairdryer, etc.

“This hotel is old. It's really bad in the back section which is the old original "motel" with outside entrances. Holiday Inn Expresses are better than this run down hotel.”

• The only thing positive was security of entry. And sanitation wipes for fitness equipment.
• Hotel was in very poor condition, left hotel.

“This hotel is far from a three star hotel. I would never stay here again. Staff was rude and arrogant. Hotel is old and dirty.”

• Sofa beds in king bedded rooms was a plus.
• Rooms facing the pool are very noisy 8 am to 11 pm.

“Good location in area of hotels in east Syracuse. Family friendly restaurant and full service bar in hotel. Rooms in need of some renovation, especially the bathrooms. This is not a 3 star hotel, more like a 2 or 2.5 star one so I was disappointed when it was picked as a 3 star hotel in my search.”

• It was in Syracuse.
• Tired, dirty and old.

“This hotel was rated 3 stars. After staying there, I question the rating system. It was not clean. The hallways had loose paper in them and the bathrooms were dated; at least fix the grout.”

• The staff was very responsive to my needs.
• Building seemed a bit outdated.

“The staff was very helpful. I had ordered room service very late and the service was prompt and friendly. When I left, I forgot a bag with some clothes in it. They were kind enough to retrieve it and mail it to me. From the beginning to the end, the service was great.”

• Very close to the highway and had restaurants close too.
• The pull out couch was very uncomfortable.

“It was clean and very convenient to I-90. Easy to get on and off the highway. The kids liked the pool. The only thing was the pull out couch was very uncomfortable.”

• The bed mattresses.
• The bathroom seemed quite dated and barely maintained.

“It is an old, elevator-less hotel with marginal charm and few amenities. I gave it a two star, but even that seems overrated, compared with Marriott's, Hiltons, doubletrees, and the like.”

• When our phone didn't work, they sent someone immediately.
• Bathroom was hideous.

“This hotel was not up to a 3 star standard, or up to that of most holiday inns. I understand it's old, but it "felt" dirty and upgrades need to be done. The caulking in the bathroom was black- yuk.”

• Great location and very clean.
• Restaurant staffing understaffed which reflected on poor service.

“This hotel is in a prime location for travelers off the thruway or inter-state. It carries a great Name and offers nice amenities to occupy children and adults alike. The rooms are small, quaint and clean. At the same time there isn't a homey feeling and the rooms are dimly lit.”

• Staff was friendly.
• Bed was horrible, when we sat down on it springs popped.

“For a 3 star hotel, I thought we would get much more. The hotel was extremely outdated. The bed was horribly uncomfortable, and the pillows were worse. I would not recommend staying there. However, the front desk staff was very helpful when we asked for a good local restaurant to eat. Very friendly, maybe good for business, but not for a romantic getaway.”
