• The location was convenient to the highway and they had a laundry room.
• They did not have children's TV stations such as Disney and Nickelodeon, no pool, no business center computer access.

“I have been to several Extended Stay Americas. The room here was not as large as others I have been to. None of them have pools or an internet access business center so if you do not travel with a laptop you are out of luck. The staff was nice. Having a full size refrigerator and microwave and stove is always a nice convenience. I don't vacation to cook big meals but it is nice to be able to have breakfasts or light meals some of the time without having to pay the price at restaurants for everything!”

• It was convenient to the beach, mall and dining.
• No pool.

“This was a spur of the moment trip, and we were pleasantly surprised with the hotel. It was very clean. We were only looking for a place to crash after fun at the beach for one night. We would definitely stay here again! Only wish it had a pool too.”

• Nice small kitchen area with dishes good for longer stays.
• No way to change room.

“This was a great basic hotel, and would be well suited for a longer stay, as the name suggests. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was very pleasant during check in/checkout. The kitchen area had full fridge, micro, coffee pot, stove, dishes and a small table for eating/workspace. Outside the room, there were no amenities. No pool, no resturant, small lobby, daily maid service only for a fee, limited desk hours. Overall, I was looking for an inexpensive no frills vacation, and this hotel was convenient to many attractions. What little time we spent in the room we felt safe and comfortable.”

• House keepers don't change your bed sheets daily not even the towels, unless you ask them to.

“The hotel location was very convenient, right of the high way which I didnt get lost not even once. Getting to the beach was very easy and even heading Downtown Virginia from the hotel was convenient. I do think that there should be a house keeper at all time to clean rooms up and change towels daily. It would be nice heading back from the beach feeling all tired from the sun hoping to relax then having to clean up your own room while youre on vacation. It make's a difference having your room done on vacation then feeling your at home doing all the chores.”

• Staff was very friendly at check in.
• Staff was extremely unfriendly at check out.

“The room basic which is what you expect for the star level. The service was poor however. The late check in was extremely disruptive to my plans and I had to rearrange them. The night staff was very friendly when I finally did check in after deciding to go to another hotel and grab a shower while waiting to check in. The day staff was again rude the next day at check out and maid service was knocking on the door half an hour before check out time asking to clean the room. I do not understand if the check out time is 11am and they are cleaning the rooms at 10:30 am then why can't I check in until after 3 pm?”

• Attractive, large refrigerator, large room.
• Musty odor, noise.

“Good location. Good parking. Attractive building. Great for low budget and longer stay. Large refrigerator, coffee maker, microwave. Noise from outside and pipes is annoying.”

• Convenient location & kitchenette.
• The lobby is closed at night.

“This hotel was in a very convenient location and we had a room on the first floor so it was really easy going to and from the car. The room was very clean and had all the necessary items needed for the kitchenette. As in all ESA's you must bring your own soaps, shampoos, hairdryer, etc and most of the room layouts are about the same. You only get maid service once every 7 days however, you may exchange towels & linens as often as needed. If you are looking for luxury with all the bells and whistles then ESA's are not for you. If you are looking for a budget get away at a clean and convenient location then stay here! We enjoyed it and would stay there again anytime!”

• I like the fact that there was a kitchen area!
• Full size bed instead of Queen size. Also had to keep calling for room service to come to clean the room.

“The hotel was ok for the amount of money we spent. It had a kitchen which was nice. I didnt like the fact that the bed was a full size bed. Also we would return to the hotel at 4 in the afternoon and room service still hadn't happened. The room is a 10 minute drive from the VA beach. Dont want to stay there on next visit, would like to be closer to the beach.”

• The kitchenette and location.
• The floors were dingy and the room smelled.

“Overall it was not a bad experience. The TV was very small and the room smelled. The front desk clerk was very nice but the woman behind the scenes was not. My sister wanted to check in prior to my arrival (by about an hour) and they would not allow her even though we called ahead and asked if this was ok and the staff stated that it would be.”

• I was told that I could request a nonsmoking room, did so, was told that I would have one but I ended up with a smoking room that made me sick.

“I was tied up in traffic and unable to check in on time. I tried to call the hotel but no one would answer the phone. when I finally got to the hotel there was no one in the lobby and the courtesy phone was on the side of the building out of site. I didn't find it until I had been standing in the rain crying for over 30 minutes. My children were scared.”

“The hotel would not even bring us extra pillows said they ran out. Room smelled like smoke though it was supposedly non smoking. Had a horrible odor on all of the linens. Bed slept like a rock. Front desk made us walk down and get our own extra towels, only do room service for extra $5 a day. Absolutely horrible never stay here.”

• Close to city hotspot for shopping entertainment and dinning.
• No housecleaning for stays less than a week.

“Very pleased. Place was reasonably nice and clean. It was nice that it had a small kitchenette. It way exceeded my expectations for the price I received. It was not in a bad area and I felt quite safe. Perhaps the best thing about it was that it is in the center of an area hotspot with loads of shopping entertainment and dinning.”

• Staff was friendly.
• More like a Super 8. Lots of men hanging around outside the motel, smoking and yelling. It's more like a motel for truckers.

“The two women staff members I dealt with were friendly. I would recommend it only for business travelers needing a room in that specific area. The hotel lobby and motel room reeked of cigarette smoke. Outdoor trash containers were completely filled/overflowing. Lots of trucks parked around the lot. Lots of men smoking and yelling in the balconies and/or in the parking lot. It's also noisy because of the highway. It has the appearance of an older motel and it's not kept up very well. The room's indoor AC unit did not work very well. We stayed 8 hours and then found another hotel.”

• Manager was very accommodating, provided extra pillows, safety bars and hand shower in bathroom, Printed off computer to our destination, Staff all spoke Engl.
• No King size beds, Day desk clerk either shy or not very friendly always seemed to be having a bad day.

“Very clean, Very plain but comfortable, Very attractive outside appearance, beautiful landscaping, Quiet, Bed very firm but large fluffy pillows, Staff all spoke English, Manager very friendly and accommodating. Enjoyed having a refrigerator and microwave in the room.”
