  • Closeness to the University Hospital.
  • Gap in window, blanket worn and dirty, breakfast dry and old.

“Did not enjoy, breakfast dried and stale, window gap good thing the heater worked.”

  • Price.
  • Smokey, chintzy, lobby reeked of pinesol and bad neighborhood.

“Basically a bed and shower and TV. Our room was so smoky and we could hardly stand it. The bathroom door had been broken and poorly repaired, the lobby reeked of pinesol. Everything was as cheaply done as possible.”

  • The lady who checked us in was very friendly.
  • Room smelled like smoke; beds uncomfortable; environment unsafe.

“We had a very good check-in. However, the room smelled really bad of smoke when we entered it. There were burn marks from cigarettes all over the sink and the general appearance was dirty. Also, the bed was super uncomfortable and I barely slept. Also, in the middle of the night, the fridge made such loud noises that it only helped keep us awake. There were too many people outside on the patio during the night just hanging around being loud, with nobody doing anything about it. Not impressed with Econo Lodge at all. Will not return.”

  • Nothing.
  • Bad customer service, unkempt rooms, not attractive.

“I was disappointed in the state of the carpet, not vacuumed, it looks like for weeks, the toilet was not working properly, kept making noises and the sheets were not clean. I arrived at around 11 pm with 2 children, who were tired from the drive. I was disgusted that I had to call the desk to request clean sheets for a bed that should have been clean in the first place. When I made my request to get sheets, I was asked to wait about 10 minutes then they would call me back, after 20 minutes I called back to find out they didn't have sheets for me and they wanted to change my room. This could not be done as I was the only adult with 2 sleeping children at 11:45 at night! This was such an inconvenience.”

Cleanliness:[6] • Staff:[6] • Location:[7]

  • Location was close to all downtown activities.
  • A bit too Spartan.

“Good value for a room in a downtown hotel with easy connections to all areas of Syracuse. Both cable and wireless internet that were free. Small and simple continental breakfast in lobby.”

Staff:[8] • Location:[5]

  • Location and staff was friendly.
  • Room was not that nice.

“Location was five easy minutes from SU campus and short drive to good selection of restaurants, but nothing within safe walking distance. Room was shabby, and would have been OK except I didnt' realize it was smoking, it smelled badly.”

  • The friendly staff at the desk.

“Pleasant staff and good business location in the city. Moderate accommodations. Very small area for breakfast facilities.”

  • The location was good, and that's were it stops.
  • Once again nothing.

“Be a soldier. I have traveled around he world and seen a lot of hotels but the econ-lodge in Syracuse was he worst the rooms, looked nasty. The bathroom was not clean. I am going to inform my army chain of command of my experience and will not recommend to soldiers on RNR from down range.”

  • The hotel was conveniently located for my business. It was clean, had internet, microwave and a fridge.
  • Neighborhood.

“For the business traveler looking for an economy trip this is perfect. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean.”

Cleanliness:[1] • Staff:[1] • Location:[6]

  • Very clean rooms with super comfy beds.

“The hotel provides fine value in a super convenient location, both for downtown Greenville and shopping. Views from the upper floors are magnificent, if you can avoid falling asleep immediately under the thick duvets covering the super comfortable king size beds.”

Cleanliness:[8] • Staff:[5] • Location:[7]

  • Friendly staff.
  • Service was not good.

“A basic hotel with a friendly staff, close to downtown Syracuse. Unfortunately, we not given towels for our second night, and our request for more towels and more pillows was not fulfilled. Also, the air conditioner was turned off by staff for our second night. Probably wouldn't go there again.”
