• I didn't like anything about it. As a matter of fact, my husband and I decided we would never ever stay at another Econo Lodge again!

“This hotel was uncaring about its customers. It put us in a room that was unhealthy and unkept. The furniture had been water damaged there was mold in the bath tub, that had no stopper. There was dried up food in the microwave and dust thick enough to write your name. At our arrival we were too late for an engagement and had to drop our bags and leave right out. Upon returning late that night, we discovered the first problems and just decided we would let the management know when we checked. The next morning upon closer investigation we discovered other problems. First, we started to ask for another room, but we didn't feel like going through the frustration. So we decided to tolerate the problems since we only had to sleep there 1 more night and we would not be in the room at all during the day. I was delighted to see this survey, because I had planned on contacting the company about the pitiful situation at this particular Econo Lodge. My hopes are that this facility in Norfolk is no indicative of all Econo Lodges.”

• Convenience to work site and price.
• Did not smell great.

“I desk clerk was great. The only problem is the rooms did not smell fresh and the lamps had loose shades.”

• Very close to beaches and major highway.
• Needed to ask for additional towels because house cleaning missed our room.

“This was definitely acceptable for the price we paid. It was close to major attractions in the area and very close to the beach.”

• The hotel owner/staff were very friendly.
• The hotel room was very dirty.
