  • Worst hotel ever beware for your safety.
  • Pay to park, No safe, wallet & necklace stolen by staff, jiggle doors & get in some rooms.

“This is the worst hotel we have ever stayed at. Stayed here with a wedding party because rehearsal dinner was held at this hotel. Rehearsal dinner was great. To sum up a lot of bad experiences. Us room was good, hotel housekeeping too nosey about time of wedding; van locks were tampered with at the city garage where we had to park cost us $150 to fix. Sister-1st room was not what they asked for; too small for 5 people. Put into another room had which problems with the toilet. Maintenance stole wallet & pearl necklace while we attended the wedding. Nothing they can do. Brother people above them left water on which leaked through their ceiling and flooded their room at 2:00 am. Parents were put in a room that if you jiggled the doorknob from the hallway you could easily get into the room. Hotel has a lot of charm but electronic locks put on old doors and doorframes which aren't very effective if you can let yourself in to somebody's room by shaking the doorknob vigorously. Didn't seem like a safe area of town. Probably could go out during the day, but at nighttime beware and you should beware in the hotel itself considering the type of people they hire.”

  • It allowed customers to use free internet service.
  • I had to pay $8.00 a day to park my vehicle & the rooms had no bath tub.

“The hotel is nice from the outside & the lobby also. The rooms were tight & hot a/c barely worked in both rooms.I will not recommend this hotel to anyone”

Cleanliness:[9] • Staff:[9] • Location:[8]

  • It was located downtown in walking distance of shops, restaurants, etc.
  • The rooms were small, crowded.

“The hotel was nice, but you could tell it was historic because the rooms were built very narrow. Staff was friendly also.”

  • The hotel is in very good location in the city. you can walk every where what you want to see

“You have to pay parking payment for everyday $8 is too much for small city. I stay at many different hotel this one is less quality than other according to room cleanless, reservation quality, and price.”

  • There was nothing I did not like about the Clarion Hotel.
  • I did not like the bathroom or the room. The room was up to model date. For the price I paid, I excepted better.

“The Clarion Hotel was not want I excepted a Hotel to look like. The employees was friendly, but the rooms need to be remodel and a little more space to walk around in the room.”

  • Very antique looking old hotel decor.. very cool

“Nice ambiance, couldn't move in shower stall, needed some maintenance, but not bad for the price. Right in the middle of downtown, near restaurants, and clubs, and very friendly staff.”

Cleanliness:[8] • Staff:[7] • Location:[7]

  • Very nice lobby (old and quaint, but nicely restored).
  • Thermostat in room had no effect on air conditioning. Hair dryer was missing from bathroom--reporting its absence to Front Desk accomplished nothing.

“Nice quaint lobby, convenient location. Rooms are very small, but clean. You will be charged for parking, but your car probably will be left in the unpaved alley beside the hotel. Front Desk is not especially responsive--our call to report the hairdryer was missing from the bathroom got no response whatsoever. I'd give the hotel a "B-" for the above reasons.”
