• It was easy to find although at first I was weary about the location I noticed they had security guards that patrolled the parking lot at night.
• The room seemed to be dark and dreary. I didn't want to walk on the carpet in my bare feet.

“It was good. They had a refrigerator even though it didn't say that online.”

• Great service and friendly staff.
• There was a problem with toilet and it took maintenance a little time to get to us. He said he was given the wrong room number.

“Again the hotel was very nice and met all of my expectations. The staff was great even after a delay in getting the toilet repaired. A call to the desk to inquire about repair and the possibility of changing rooms if the problem could not be fixed was met with a change of room could be an option. But the repair was made once the maintenance person got the right room number.”

• Location to waterfront, view was beautiful.
• Needs work our room had a rundown look (needs updating).

“Overall I would stay again. The view was beautiful; it was close to the Childrens Hospital we were visiting. The windows in our room were very dirty, the TV needed tube cleaned, and furniture was beat up. But they did the best they could clean. Staff was helpful.”

• The hotel location made it easy to get on the freeway.
• The parking situation was irritating. It was rare that we could park remotely close to our room.

“This hotel was probably much nicer 25 years ago. It is in need of a complete remodeling job. Everything went fine, but I would have expected the furnishings and the hotel in general to be in better shape for the money that we paid. This hotel was rated 2-1/2 stars, but I would have rated it 1-1/2 at the most.”

• Good location. Great scenic view of river and Norfolk downtown.
• It is a very ugly and obsolete hotel.

“It is a very ugly and obsolete hotel. Ice and wending machine on 3rd floor were very noisy and radiated a lot of heath. Beds in the room were terrible. During a breakfast, we were charged more than 3 dollars per a cup of orange juice without any prior notification. I absolutely not recommend staying in this hotel.”

• Being on the waterfront.
• Breakfast.

“I would stay there again. It is in a fairly good location, rates weren't bad, room clean, and we were pretty close to Chesapeake, and Norfolk.”

• The dinner was excellent! The girl who brought it to me was so nice.

“You should have access to high speed in each room. I do not have the benefit of having an air card so I could not utilize my laptop or emails for 2 days. The vent in the room where the AC and heat came out had mold growing on it.”

“This hotel is a great place to stay, nice area with a wonderful view of waterside. Not a lot of noise or anything to bother you when you are sleeping. Friendly people to help you when you need help, internet that worked like a charm!”
