  • People down the hall were drunk and woke my baby up at 2 am.

“Nice older hotel, we just happen to be on the same floor as a bunch of old ladies those were drunk and obnoxious at 2 am.”

  • Excellent customer service, great location.
  • The pool was closed & the
TV was small and had a lot of static.

“This hotel was at a great location and the staff was excellent. The continental breakfast was meager, the bed was big and the room was comfortable.”

  • Complimentary parking in adjacent garage.
  • No fruit or cereals at continental breakfast. Lobby not at street level.

“Front desk staff was extremely helpful, especially when giving us directions. Our room was comfortable. We liked being able to park free.”

  • Our room was clean.
  • Bar across street had a gun fight cops and could not sleep.

“The hotel is a work in progress would never stay alone in this hotel as long as the bar is a cross the street you will not get to sleep and the TV only has 3 stations.”

  • The TV in the 2nd room they finally put me in.
  • Hotel staff was rude, rooms were poorly planed out, just an old junky hotel.

“The staff of the hotel thinks it is a luxury hotel in downtown but it is really just a work in progress and not good work at that. The parking for $8 per day. The Hispanic night club beside the hotel brings mostly people that look like gang members to hang out in front of the hotel at night. The elevators stop between floors after long waits just to get on it. This hotel is a complete waste of money.”

  • The room was lovely.
  • NA.

“The room was lovely; the hotel entrance and elevators, hard to find; the man at check in surly and very rude to the young clerk that he was training; the staff the next morning was very cordial. The room was straightened every day but new towels, coffee, etc, were not replaced the last 2 days. The elevator worked well 3 days but stopped at every floor on the way down the 4th day. I would hope to avoid this hotel on my next visit.”

  • The room was very clean and attractive.
  • Pay for parking, ongoing renovations, street noise at night.

“First the good: This hotel is pretty conveniently located. It is only a short trip to Dutch Wonderland, which is what we were in town for. You should be aware that it is in what appears to be an older section of the city, although I did not consider it to be especially run down or unsafe. Our room was a decent size, and was tastefully decorated with attractive furniture and a comfortable bed. Bathroom was small but nice, and the shower water pressure was very good on the 6th floor. Both the main room and the bathroom were very clean. The lobby is nice, too, and there is a nice indoor pool on the 3rd floor. The not so good: The hotel does not have a parking lot, but is attached to a city run garage. At the time I went, it cost $8.00 per night to park. Also, the hotel is currently under renovation, and there are a lot of public areas that are easy to stumble on where everything is torn up and there are exposed wires, etc. I had to take the stairs down and out to get back in the hotel. With the room itself, my main complaint is that the windows don't seal out noise well. Even on the 6th floor, I was woken up a few times by sirens or by motorcycles zooming down the street and even just by especially loud people. Other little problems include, no toilet paper in our room when we arrived, and the handle on our bathroom shower was broken. The water was very hot and couldn't be turned to cold. With some effort, I was able to reduce the temp to where I could stand to shower in it. There was a problem with the cable, too, but I didn't look into it too much because I didn't really have time to watch TV anyway. Despite the problems, I think this is a decent hotel with a lot of potential.”

  • Complimentary breakfast - adequate for an early morning snack to start the day with a toddler.
  • Location was in the heart of downtown. Would not have felt comfortable in parking garage at night without husband.

“Friendly staff. Parking garage a bit scary at night. Hotel located in downtown Lancaster - a bit out of the way for the Dutch Wonderland crowd. Breakfast included toast, muffins, cereal, coffee, milk, juice. Room was clean and adequate.”

  • It is close to Fand M College.
  • Bathroom floor was dirty with some sort of stain. The stain was very large!

“Horrible and depressing.”

  • The beds were comfortable and easy to push against the wall.
  • One elevator was not enough to serve the entire hotel.

“Open during construction, but really should be closed. The pool was frightening and the one elevator could not handle the amount of people staying there. The room had high ceilings and a nice flat panel, TV but was crowded and bathroom small. Parking in garage did not feel safe and area was mostly abandoned buildings. Not kid friendly.”

  • We were in a remodeled room; it was very nice and comfortable.
  • Having to pay $8.00 a night for parking.

“The hotel is being remodeled. The room we had was very clean and comfortable - flat screen TV, granite countertops, coffee in the room, good beds. The hotel is in an old building, right downtown. Actually, we were surprised about having such a nice room. We did not eat there, as we were visiting family. However, it would have been nice to have a continental breakfast available. Having to pay for parking was a surprise but, evidently, very common in downtown Lancaster. We would stay there again.”

  • The room was ok since it was large, for the handicapped. Other rooms may not have been so.
  • Being an old hotel in a downtown area that has seen businesses move out, it was slightly depressing.

“Located in or near downtown, it has seen businesses move out and the adjoining area looks abandoned and dirty. Hotel looks old, but was clean.”

  • I liked the flat screen TV in the room.
  • I did not like the area that it was in and or around.

“The Hotel Brunswick was good and bad. Good because the staff was very friendly and helpful. Bad because they are currently renovating the hotel and the neighborhood it is around.”

“Extremely shady hotel. Drunks in the parking lot and the lobby had several arguments going on at once with hotel staff. I tried to get help because my wife and I would not stay there and they just brushed me off and said they were too busy. I'm awaiting a response from your customer service staff. We checked out of the hotel within minutes of checking in and stayed at the Lancaster Host instead. Avoid this place at all costs.”

  • The Staff was very friendly.
  • They charged my Visa and I still have not received a credit on my Visa after many phone calls.

“They do not have free parking. $8.00 per night in a parking garage so luggage is a problem. It is attractive.”
