• They provided waffles for breakfast.
• Rooms were unclean, a terrible odor in halls and in room-way overpriced for the value.

• dirty, run-down, poor location (in parking lot of shopping center)

“This hotel is poor in almost every category that matters. Primarily, the rooms and hallways are run-down, there is no elevator, the stairways have beer bottles and cigarette stubs, and the place is a mess. The front desk clerk was pleasant.”

• Noise from adjoining rooms were
  noticeable.

“As this was a research/business trip, I just needed a basic place to sleep and do be able to do work on the computer. This hotel provided that. The staff was friendly but not overbearing and if they weren't present at the counter, they were within earshot. The location was convenient to the highway, but not so close that you could hear traffic noise. If one is traveling and needs a simple place to lay their head at night, without all the bells, whistles and frills, the this hotel will serve the purpose.”

“Hotel is very convenient for people visiting friends or relatives at Kendal. The location is central to shopping areas and Hotel was cleaner and much better kept than the Ramada across the street.”

• It's equally close to downtown Ithaca and the Cornell campus.
• The hotel parking lot was closed for repaving. Guests had to park in the adjacent mall parking lot. I would like to have known that before hand.

“We've stayed at practically all the Ithaca hotels during the past eleven years. The EconoLodge is our favorite.”

• The availability on race weekend.
• Check-in was 1:00, the room was not ready.

“Too much going on for not enough staff. Room was not ready when promised and no compromises were made. Room was clean, and comfortable. when it was ready.”

• Everything.

“Everything in the room was dirty. The air conditioner was loud, traffic was loud, people were loud. I complained to the front desk and they merely said, 'Thank you for letting us know.' They did not move us to another room or help us in any way. We were traveling with our infant and I was too afraid to let her loose in that room because it was so filthy. The breakfast in the morning was supposed to make it all worth it. It was quite the opposite actually. Everything was empty, there was no attendant, no employees anywhere to be seen. We had to ring the bell to check out, and a grumpy lady came up, took our room card, and said goodbye. That was it. I would not recommend this place to anyone.”

• Very helpful staff, clean environment.
• Dreary location in the back of a half empty strip mall.

“Pleasant, quiet, and clean. Very helpful, friendly staff. Close to several restaurants and near the highway without being troubled by highway noise.”

• It was off the main highway, near restaurants and shopping area.
• Very loud in the early morning 2 AM.

“The hotel was very loud and people using foul language. At one point I thought that a fight was going to happen. This was continued until 2 AM. In the morning when I reported the events of the evening, the front desk seemed very indifferent about our complaint.”

• The informal make your own waffles and breakfast in the morning. The proximity to mall.
• Bed was very uncomfortable.

“Pleasant atmosphere. Friendly staff. Close to mall and supermarket. Ample parking. The informal make your own breakfast and waffles were pleasant. We only stayed one night but would recommend it for a short stay for the price. The king size bed was very uncomfortable but everything else was worth the price.”
