• The staff members were friendly.
• The room was not clean, was not enough towels and tissue in restrooms.

“This hotel was quite and in a good location. However can use some work far as cleanliness.”

• Our room was clean, comfortable, quiet, and we felt safe in it. The small appliances included in the room were a plus.
• There was really nothing except we received no maid service until our 3rd day.

“We were very pleased with this hotel room. We really didn't expect it to be as nice as it was for the price. We were not bothered by other customers. The hotel was in a good place for us to visit all of the surrounding attractions. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We did not have breakfast at the hotel because we were gone early each morning of our stay. We will stay here again as we're already planning next year's trip back to VA.”

• The staff was friendly and the breakfast simple, but very good. Also, had internet service.
• Some parts were under construction.

“The hotel staff was very friendly and the breakfast provided was just right for me (fruit included). Also, it was convenient to me visiting with my son who was stationed at Ft. Eustis. I would recommend it to others!”

• The staff was helpful.
• State of repair, cleanliness, location.

“Some of the lobby windows were boarded up. The room had stains on carpet and ceiling. The location was surrounded by businesses going out of business. The continental breakfast was lacking the quality I have experience in other Days Inn establishments.”

• The staff was helpful.
• The hotel was run down and in a deteriorating area of Newport News.

“This was the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. There were boarded up windows in the lobby. The ceiling and rug were stained in our room. It was in an area filled with closed stores and businesses. I stayed in several Days Inn establishments in the fall with nice facilities and good continental breakfasts. This one was really lacking. I was on a college trip with my daughter, and I did not feel safe staying here.”

• The check in staff was not courteous at all.

• Nice check in/out staff.
• Location, noisy fan in bathroom.

“Wasn't kept up very well. I felt unsafe in the area. More outdoor lighting in the parking area would be helpful.”

• My stay at Days Inn was excellent.
• The room, next door has four people in a two bedroom, too much noise.

“This stay was excellent, a little noisy the first night but the people next door did quitted down.”

• The people were very friendly and nice.
• Sheets, towels in room still dirty -even when ask for new ones.

“Hotel personnel were very nice but the room was not clean. Popcorn from a previous person on floor, 2nd day Blood on sheets on a changed bed, Hair on everything when room cleaned. New towels dirty - Comment card found and it had been filled out from someone months earlier. They had the same problems. This is not only a problem with overworked maid staff this is also a laundry issue. We left a day early without getting our money back. It was worth it to get out of that dirty room.”
