“When we went to check out there was no one at the desk and that detained us and parking fees were 25 dollars and the site said 20 when we checked out the employee checking us out was very rude.”

“Getting slammed with extra parking charges is a big turnoff. We should have been apprised that the pool/hot tub were under renovation. Bar prices vary by the whim of the bartender.”

“On first appearance I was satisfied, and you must take into account that it is being renovated, but after going up stairs I found some areas which were not nice. The parking charge was very high and should have been validated by the hotel for guests. We found no restaurants in the area so we were forced to eat breakfast in the hotel. The breakfast was good, but we were charged $15.00 each for 2 eggs over easy with bacon - excessive. We stayed in 6 other hotels/motels on our vacation and everyone served free breakfast. We were never informed that there was free coffee in the restaurant or if or where the "signature cookies were". We never saw them. We asked at the desk for information on mass transit. We were directed to a location to pick up the train, and were told we could take a taxi to the train and we could call for a taxi to pick us up there when we returned. They told us we could call the hotel and they would call for a taxi for us. We took their card with their numbers and tried to do that. However, the fist # we dialed on the card went to voice mail and the 2nd # was no longer in service. We tried a number of times. We luckily had seen a cab and had written down the # so we called them directly and it took them over one hour to pick us up. We were waiting in a very desolate area which was a little scary. We were able to get a cab; we finally did - after midnight. After speaking with other people who stayed in other local hotels, they said their hotels had a van which picked up and delivered them to the mass transit spots. Good idea! Everyone was nice and fairly friendly but they should be better informed on area issues such as these. Also, in the other hotels & motels where we stayed, we found computers which guests could use. Not everyone has a laptop. Those are a huge convenience which was lacking here.”

“Very difficult to find and limited restaurant availability in the area. Transportation is a must. No business center, very expensive parking fee, very quiet, but out of the way unless you are visitant the school near-by.”

“The carpet in our room had not been vacuumed from the last guest. there was a host of human clipped toe nails on the floor. I went to the front desk and complained and was told they would either move us or make an adjustment on our bill. neither happened. housekeeping came an vacuumed the toe nails up, however the entire floor and along the side of the baseboard was extremely dusty. we will never visit this hotel again.”

“We had been called at the midnight (2:30am) from the front desk for nothing. The reason she called was she couldn't hold on us during the day time. I have several reservations with the same hotel from 8/29 to 9/13. They couldn't assign the same room to us even we requested earlier. Beside, they assigned smoking and one queen bed for us even we also requested for non smoking and two double beds in advance. ”

“We had been called at the midnight (2:30am) from the front desk for nothing. The reason she called was she couldn't hold on us during the day time. The electronic keys wouldn't work for many times; they wouldn't change the room for us even we requested. They even didn't apologize for the inconvenience caused by the key and delayed (we waited for thirty minutes to have them fix the problem.)”

“We enjoyed the hotel. The staff was friendly not knowledgeable however, they couldn't find our reservation for the 2nd night although it was there. The bathroom was just a stall shower the first night and very small the second night it was a full bathroom but the toilet made a lot of noise. The rooms and hotel were very clean.”

“I like the staff at this hotel but the location is terrible. there is no real restaurants to eat at outside the hotel. it is location right next to john Hopkins university this would be a nicer hotel for families visiting there sons or daughters.”

“Lobby was beautiful. The room was nice, although it was a smoking room with some odors. (We asked for, but could not get a non smoking room. Morning buffet was plentiful but I thought they should have a reduced price for a child. But I can't get over charging a hotel guest $18 to park on premises for one night. This should have been made apparent before I parked in the lot.”

“Staff very helpful but generally the hotel was too small and dated to have a 3 star rating in my opinion. I am thankful to other travelers for alerting me about the overnight parking fee-I opted for public transportation rather than renting a car in order to avoid that additional expense. I would have been very unhappy to have been surprised by that.”
