“Location seemed safe and was quite. Maid service was poor, water pressure was low, bathroom floor was cold.Front desk clerk seemed to work a lot of hours”

“We had an upstairs room and it was spacious and clean. If we would have stayed longer than one night, we could have cooked since there was a kitchen area also. I'd stay there again while visiting the Hershey area.”

“Very good location in residential section of Hershey. Walking distance to town center. Nice room with friendly staff.”

“Hotel was clean in a great area of parks and other sites to see, but the front desk could be friendlier.

“Staff was no help in guiding us to the hotel from Hershey Park. The front desk person could not even physically find our room when we asked him for help.”

“I would like to let you know; that maybe you should rethink youre working relationship with that Rodeway Inn. He made a derogatory remark to my husband, and he wasn't happy about it.”

“Our bad experience started as soon as we checked in. The staff at the front desk did not want to honor the rate that was given online and attempted to charge an additional $30/night. Eventually it was straightened out after 20 minutes of arguing with the front desk staff and waiting for the manager to come in to approve the change since the front desk staff did not know how to do it. When we arrived in the room, we found it to be run-down, musty and dark. However, given that we were traveling with 3 young children (including an infant) and it was later in the evening, we decided to make the best of it. At first look, it did appear to be clean, despite the desperate need for a makeover. The final straw came at 4am when I woke up and found (without exaggeration) hundreds of ants all over the bathroom sink and counter - including on my hairbrush and in all of our toothbrushes. We followed their trail along the bathroom wall to a crack in the molding. We decided to let the children sleep through the next few hours since there was nowhere for us to go anyway. By morning we felt too disgusted to even shower there, especially after finding someone else's hair in the middle of the tub. We immediately went to the front desk to complain and cancel our reservation for that night. They would not refund us our money or offer any consolation for the inconvenience. In fact, they wanted to charge us for the next night even though we refused to stay. They told us that we should've called immediately when we saw the ants and they would've sprayed. They also told us that we could've been given complimentary toiletries to replace ours. Overall, this is a low budget hotel managed and run by people who do not provide the friendly Dutch American feeling that surrounds the Hershey area. I highly recommend staying away from this hotel!”

“Room was absolutely disgusting. A heavy smell of mold and mildew confronted us upon entering. Couldn't use the A/C because it blew even more mold smell into the room. My wife encountered beetles in the bathroom. Pipes were banging whenever toilet flushed in another guest room. Another guest apparently took a shower late at night, and was extremely loud in our room. My six-year-old kept looking in the bathroom to see if it was our water running. None of us could sleep between the noise, the awful smell, and the burning sensation in our eyes, noses and throats from the mold. We left in the middle of the night and checked into a hotel in Harrisburg instead. Much further from Hershey Park, but well worth the longer drive.”

“This hotel was just a 5 minute drive from Hershey Park. It was located on a small private road. The rooms were small but clean and adequately served our purposes as a place to sleep and shower. The beds were comfortable; the shower had good water pressure. The downside was, the pool closed at 10 pm, the ice machine was outside and the in room fridge did not get very cold. That being said. It was a diamond in the ruff and a great find, we will definitely be back!”

“Staff was sullen and obviously unhappy. Breakfast food was pretty bad, but there was lots of hot coffee. No extra pillows in closet but beds were comfier and shower was clean.”
