“The location is good, really close to Colonial Williamburg, which is a good thing because for a resort there is nothing really to do there on property besides swimming, and who wants to do that when it's cool outside. Last year I went there and there were a lot of activities to do, this year, there isn't. They need to bring back the karaoke and kids crafts. If they don't I will find somewhere else to go next year.”

“Overall, the Westgate is a nice place to stay. The positives: inexpensive price tag (it was only a couple dollars more than Travelodge), nicely decorated, great location (walking distance to Colonial Williamsburg-about 1 mile away with sidewalks the whole way), jacuzzi tub in the room, really nice staff, lots of kids activities. The negatives: very thin walls (you can hear everything), small rooms, the couches aren't comfortable, and the bed is decent but not wonderful. Also, beware it is a time share.”

“We were led to believe that we would be staying in a five-star resort. When we checked into our room we immediated noticed a mildew smell, the rooms were old, the carpets were dirty and stained, and when we showered the water gathered among our ankles. This "resort" is not a resort, but a cheap motel. It used to be the Heritage Inn and Westgate purchased the property and plans to restore it to five-star quality. One day it might be a five-star, but not in July of 2005.”

“My husband and I stayed at The Westgate Resort in Williamsburg, Virginia on May 26 through May 28, 2005. I have to say that it was one of the WORST experiences in a hotel in a very long time!”
