“My family recently stayed here while visiting Busch Gardens for a week. When we checked in, the bathroom tub was filthy. We had to go to Wal-Mart to buy cleaner to clean the tub. The rooms smell musty. The floors have old dirty carpets that you had to request them to vacuum daily. If you walk around without shoes or socks, your feet will be black, even if you just got out of the shower. They sometimes empty the trash in the room (depends on the day I guess). The electrical system is short. Some outlets didn't work; others didn't hold the plug tightly.”

“Worst hotel stay ever. They forgot to clean our room one day, and we had to go to front desk for new towels, garbage bags, sheets, etc. Severely understaffed and dirty.”

“This hotel has nice amenities and is a good location. More effort needs to be made in maintenance and upgrading of room fixtures.”

“Great price and excellent location. Pool and game room. Seems recently renovated. Quick check-in. Breakfast included. Why don't 2 and 3 star hotels usually include breakfast?”

“Very disappointing hotel for this brand. Rooms were dated and poorly maintained; property was poorly maintained and had a seedy feel. Examples: soda machines were not stocked, parking lot was power washed second day of stay in an unprofessional manner which spewed dirt and debris over doors to rooms, in room coffee maker had not been cleaned, ironing board had anti-theft feature for iron which made ironing impossible, rooms had no internet access.”

“I checked in and had to change my room twice because of cleanliness. The only bright spot was Sharon Hardin the dayshift front desk person. Her customer service was excellent.”

“The west park definitely would not be my first choice of places to stay unless; maybe I could have actually stayed in the renovated "hotel" style building. I had been in my room for about an hour after I unpacked and decided to relax. When I stretched and looked up at the ceiling, I noticed that it was covered in mold-- dark, black colored mold! I'm not talking about a little spot. I mean at least half of the ceiling was covered! I guess I missed it at first because the lights were still low and the ceiling was grooved. This really concerned me because the mold was in an area that assumedly was not directly under the bathroom of the room above mine. I called the front desk and expressed my concern. The young lady at the desk allowed us to change rooms, but there was no apology, no care or concern. She was quite cavalier you might say. The rest of my stay was nice.”

“Guys you have put me in this dump three times and three times I have told you what I think, do you ever read these reviews. The last two times my room smelt so moldy and bad I could barely stay in it. This time they seem to have discovered air fresheners. However, the furniture was broken, a long forgotten snack was molding behind the night stand, the towels and sheets were torn and frayed, the sink was black with age, the carpet was dirty, the bed and pillows were lumpy and uncomfortable, with one exception, the staff are surly, unfriendly and incompetent. This hotel needs to be totally renovated. Best western should be ashamed to put their name on the front door.”

“I guess you get what you pay for. The pictures on the internet showed a much different room. This hotel was somewhat rundown and the room that we had been assigned looked as if the door had been kicked in. We immediately requested another room and although they did comply they were not happy about it. Probably wont stay there again.”

“This hotel is in a good location for visiting the Virginia Historic Triangle area. It is also convenient to a lot of outlet shopping. There is an indoor pool and a game room which makes it a plus if you have children, although the temperature of the pool water could have been warmer and there were few games in the huge game room. The down side of this hotel is that it is more like a motel - the doors are outside and the buildings are separated so that you always have to walk outside to get to anything you need (lobby, pool, breakfast etc.) This is difficult at night or in the cold and takes from the safety and comfort of the location.”

“The hotel is a dump. I was given a smoking room in a building in which every room seemed to have a dog. At night dogs barked every time someone walked down the hall. In the morning one dog escaped from the room and chased me down the hall. ”

“We didn't have any towels when we checked in and the cleanliness of the hotel was bad. This Best Western hotel doesn't live up to the reputation of the name branch hotel.”

“The hotel consists of the main building and two other separate buildings off to the side. The main building has the registration desk, pool, game room, and dining room. The hotel is located in historic Williamsburg, but there is very minimal 18th century decor to suggest this. The rooms are average size and upon entry had a stale musty odor which was noticeable but not overwhelming. Our room was not located in the main building, so using the pool facilities was very inconvenient. Additionally, upon arrival, we noticed that one of the lamps had a burned out light bulb which we had to call to get replaced. Our room consisted of two double beds which had very hard mattresses but surprisingly comfortable pillows. Overall, while this hotel is more than adequate for a traveler passing through, it does not deserve a three-star rating. Furthermore, for the traveler visiting the historic sites, this hotel does nothing to add to the historic feel of the city.”

“The hotel was convenient to the William and Mary campus, which my son attends and plays football. We spend at least six weeks during the fall in Williamsburg and the hotel was the best but most importantly the price was great. We would stay every weekend at the hotel, if the $38.00 was met every week.”
