“Overall not a bad place, but by no means a 3 star hotel. Its a little tired and the inside rooms only have views of rooftop, Floor was un level. Parking late at night at the hotel was not friendly. Just a tired old down town hotel.”

“It overall met expectation except for parking charge and away from major highways.”

“This hotel is definitely overrated and looks much better from outside than from the inside. Vacuuming the carpet at the busiest check out time is definitely not a way to make customers feel more comfortable amongst the smell of mold! Not a good experience!”

“Quality was great, service was excellent, Only complaint I have is the area, it was very loud and confusing to get to. But other than that, the stay was great food was amazing.”

“Valley parking was the best. 2nd time there and have been more courteous than the ladies tending the front desk! Omelet was fantastic but was promised 20 min and took 45! Toast was soggy and girl who took order obviously had no clue to find out how long it really took but just assumed. I would've eaten at the restaurant!”

“This is a great hotel in downtown York. Very nice mix of antique style and modern conveniences. Woodwork, fixtures, etc are all great. Restaurant looked very stylish, but I did not have a chance to try it.”

“My teenage daughter and I stayed here while attending a concert at the nearby theater. As other had mentioned, the valet parking is difficult to find, but very helpful. Rooms are being renovated from the top floor down, and we had a very nice room on the top floor. The windows opened, so we spent some time enjoying the view of the city. Generously sized room, flat screen TV, comfortable bed with many not-so-comfortable pillows. There are a good number of eating places within walking distance, and the desk personnel were very helpful about giving directions. We ate dinner at the more casual restaurant in the hotel because I thought it would give us more time to return to our room before leaving for the concert. However, next time I might not stay here, as our waitress, although very nice, took so long to bring our check that we had to rush. Also, the bar area is not separated from the dining area, and since there was a very loud group of young men at the bar it was difficult to hear each other across our table. The next morning, we walked the short distance to the farmer's marked and had a tasty, inexpensive breakfast. On the whole, the downtown area is clean and attractive, with a number of small shops and restaurants, however, we didn't venture too far from the hotel. Two street people who walked through the hotel lobby were escorted out the door by hotel personnel. There were enough people on the street after the concert that I didn't feel unsafe walking the short distance to the hotel, and I didn't feel uncomfortable during the day, but might not wish to walk alone at night. We definitely enjoyed our visit, which was made even better for my daughter when she discovered the performers were staying on our floor and met a couple of them in the hallway.”
