“I reserved three rooms at this hotel for a weekend at Hershey Park for my step-niece's 5th birthday celebration. The hotel is remarkably close to the airport and the staff was quick to arrange an airport shuttle for the person checking-in in front of me. During the check-in, even though there were two staff members and a manager behind the desk only one was working with customers. The manager and second employee were openly having a personal conversation as a line started to form. After getting to our rooms we headed to the showers having been in the amusement park all day. In two of the three rooms we found that the showers and the sinks were both draining at a snail's pace. In a less than 10 minutes shower I found myself standing in water that was inches above my ankles. My roommate in a matter of brushing her teeth found the sink completely filling with water before it drained. After headed to bed we found that our room's AC wouldn't turn off but another room in our group had an AC that broken in the middle of the night. It not just wasn't cooling, it was no longer even blowing air in the fan mode. Given that it was a very hot night after a very hot day this was less than thrilling. We were then kept awake a good portion of the night as there was a soccer tournament staying at the hotel and the teenagers participating in it were running up and down our hall and the one above us until nearly 2 am. After finally getting to sleep were were then awaken at 7 am to the fire alarm going off because the main hotel air conditioner had caught fire. Given that we only had 5 hour sleep you can imagine our happiness to then sit outside for over an hour while they solved the problem. Once we were actually allowed back into the hotel the staff could give no firm guidance as to whether or not check out would be extended so that guests could attempt to get some amount of sleep. Luckily the breakfast hours were extended for an hour.”

• Only had to stay 1 night.

“Dirty hotel with a rude, unfriendly staff! The breakfast buffet was unacceptable and looked like leftovers from people who had eaten there before us. I booked a room with 1 king bed but they gave me 2 queen beds instead and was told there was nothing that could be done. I confirmed that I had 1 king bed 24 hours before check in but when I arrived at the hotel was told that only a room with 2 queen beds was available. The staff was rude and did not even apologize to me! They just wanted to argue!”

• Everyone was very nice. I would go there again if our rooms were not next to the cemetery.
• We were across from meeting rooms and they were very loud! Next to a cemetery!

“My honey loved the room and aside from the conference attendees being so loud of our door and I suspect trying to look into our room, it was fine!”

• The hotel had a free breakfast that included hot and cold foods.
• Our room had a bad odor, we should have requested a new room.

“The staff was friendly and the hotel was reasonably clean. A bit further away from Hershey Park than we thought. It may be only 7 miles we did not clock) but it took over 1/2 hour.”

• Very comfortable and affordable.
• Noise in the hallway at 3:00 AM.

“Hotel met all our expectations, was close to Hershey Park, and we loved dinner at Gilligan's just about 1/2 mile up the road. The Chicken Chesapeake was to die for. Forgot my cell phone and when I called from a pay phone in Hershey Park, the desk clerk went to our room and secured my phone until I could come back to get it later in the day. Everything was just fine.”

• Location was convenient.
• Hotel staff was not very helpful.

“The place was okay, but the staff was not that great. The location was good for getting around and easy to locate. It was clean and comfortable but that is to be expected. The restaurant in the hotel was pretty bad. The selection and food in general left a lot to be desired.”

• Absolutely nothing, my fish was frozen, the toilet wasn't working, my room was not ready at check in, and cars were damaged in the parking lot.
• Breakfast was horrible (lots of people, not enough food); I preferred eating at the Wendys next door or taco bell.

• The room was big enough for a playpen and pull out sofa to accommodate a family of 6.
• The pool area is old, slippery and over chlorinated.

“This is not the best nor the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. This hotel is definitely due for some upgrades. Especially the pool. The elevators were slow; always a line! The 24 hour coffee/tea cart was always cold. I was annoyed that the cleaning staff actually threw and left my childrens pillows and blankets from home on the floor. They never left enough towels. 2 sets for a family of 6. Overall, not filthy, however, I would not stay there again. A disappointment to the Best Western name. I expected better.”

• Front desk was good enough to keep our baby food in their staff freezer.
• Refrigerator in the room was not available for the stay.

“Good for budget hotel when traveling to Hershey area. A short drive away to most of Hershey attractions. Continental breakfast in the morning was very good. Kids will enjoy the indoor pool.”

• We liked the hotel. The kids loved it.
