• Very friendly staff and pleasant public areas.
• Can't think of anything.

“After a day in the car, it was a nice experience checking in and staying at this property. The breakfast was a bit better than many complimentary breakfasts (Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwiches was nice addition), bed was very comfortable.”

• I told them I had asthma, we were moved to a room away from the construction.
• We were originally given a room next to the construction area of the hotel, while other rooms were available.

“It's a satisfactory stay for someone who's not looking for comfort.”

• The complimentary continental break fast was excellent.
• Rooms not as large as some hotels, but adequate.

“This hotel was adequate, if not spectacular in every way. Rooms were comfortable, clean and the staff was helpful, and responsive. We did not use the pool area, but is was used by many families there and they seemed to enjoy it a lot. Great continental breakfast with many options, but it was crowded. Overall, a very satisfactory hotel and is an easy 15 minute drive to Hersey park.”

• Convenience to shopping/dining/highway.
• Front desk staff refusing to accommodate my family & me and incorrectly quoting policies.

“Front desk staff refused to give me room with two double beds for me, my wife & two daughters even though they said one was available. We seeped three in a bed & my other daughter slept on a mattress on the floor. Problem was corrected the next morning after arguing with morning manager. Otherwise, everything else was great.”

“The room was clean and the bed was comfortable (although crowded). Rooms don't block noise very well. No view. The pool was too crowded for us to use and the breakfast room was a crowded mess no matter what time we tried to eat-early or late. The staff was trying to keep up with the breakfast but they weren't very successful.”

• The children loved the pool.
• Somewhat crammed sink/closet area.

“Nice airy atmosphere, wonderful accommodations for a family. We stayed in a large room with 2 double beds and a complimentary crib for our infant. The bathroom sink area was a bit small for more than one person, but that was far overshadowed by the children's love of the indoor pool, and the excellent continental breakfast. I heartily recommend this hotel.”

• The ease in check-in and room accomodations were outstanding.

“Close to many restaurants and shopping area; ideal location for both our visit to Hershey and to the Northeastern Sportsman's Expo. Hotel itself was very clean and breakfast buffet was excellent.”

• Only one elevator and it was broken when we left.

“Overall a nice experience. Friendly staff. Nice clean rooms with mini fridge and work desk with free internet. Comfortable beds. Free breakfast was good with ability to make your own waffles! Close to restaurants. 15 minutes from Hershey attractions.”

• Beds are uncomfortable. Very soft and the beds are small.

“No curb appeal. Grass overgrown in back of hotel. Not much to look at. The breakfast was good but couldn't get in as it was too crowded. We ended up going to another outside restaurant. The rooms are immaculate. Very clean. Only 10 minutes to Hershey which was great.”

“The Fairfield Inn Harrisburg-Hershey has to be the best hotel we've stayed in this summer- we tend to stay only at budget-friendly hotels (e.g. Holiday Inn, Comfort Inn, Best Western, etc.). We were able to purchase a room for only $40 a night (we stayed two nights). We were pleasantly surprised at the quality of this hotel. When we first arrived the front desk staff member indicated our room would be on the first floor, I requested a change to the second floor which was accommodated with no problems. The room was fabulous (in fact, I took photos of it!). It was well appointed, tastefully decorated and very clean. I mean really clean! One of the double beds was not very comfortable (creaking box spring) but the other was exceptional (must have been recently replaced). The room was not equipped with a fridge or microwave but that was okay for us. The pool was great for our young daughter to play in (it was sometimes a bit crowded though! Quite popular as it was a wet, damp weekend for any outings). The complimentary breakfast was fantastic! All foods/beverages were well stocked and tended to all morning. There was ample seating for everyone. All in all, we truly enjoyed our stay and would definitely go back there again (even if it cost more money!).”

• One of the double beds was old- the box spring creaked.

“We loved this hotel! It was close to Hershey (but cost much less), about 15 minutes away. The staff were fantastic, the breakfast was great, and the pool was very nice. The rooms were well appointed, clean, and very nicely decorated. We would definitely stay here again!”
