“Very good hotel for business travelers. Just outside D.C. beltway, helpful staff, plenty of food for breakfast, plenty of hot water. Room was a little small, but was not a problem. Free Wi-Fi internet access was very useful. If I need to stay in the area again, I would strongly consider this hotel.”

“Hotel is really good for one or two nights, but anything more than that you may be a little uncomfortable.”

“Unable to get 2 doubles instead of 1 queen when checking in. Forced to upgrade to 2 queen beds. 1st room with 2 queen beds had bugs (termites) in both beds. After getting into another room, the smoke alarm went off for 1 hr. Terrible experience!”

“This is your basic, run-of-the-mill hotel located off the interstate. It has what you'd expect for the price, and nothing less. While not exactly luxurious, it provided all the comforts required. The mattress in particular was very nice - almost like memory foam. I also really enjoyed the continental breakfast there; much more offered than many other hotels I've stayed at. The only thing I really missed was a hottub and pool, which was located outside.”

“They don't offer two beds when sometimes It would have been preferred. in small print on the envelope with the key is read If you do not want the newspaper to bring It to the desk when checking out and you will be refunded the .75 cents. If you don't read the envelope you would never know. I took the paper to the desk and was not offered the .75 cents and didn't have time to argue my case. Very small problem but It seemed a little deceiving to me. Otherwise the hotel was very nice, small room but quiet.”

“We had a family reunion in dc last summer (June 2007). It was difficult to find a hotel that fit every family's budget, clean rooms, in a safe area, good free breakfast and close to a subway station. Luciana at the hotel was able to get a bargain rate for our 5 families with double queens for all rooms. Their continental breakfast was quite extensive. Fast food and sit in restaurants are across the parking lot. Rooms are clean and staff is friendly.”

“I was very disappointed in the hotel I was moved three times due to the hotel not having hot water in the tower and then the last room they moved me to did not have heat and it was snowing like crazy and temps went down to 10 degrees. I woke up with a head cold and almost froze to death.”

“The Fairfield hotel was a pleasant stay. From the hotel staff (very professional) to the day core of the rooms. If I could make a suggestion, it would be, to make it simpler to extend more days without checking out and then checking by in. Otherwise, it was a great selection from you and I will continue to use your services. ”

“Great hotel for the business traveler who knows the Washington, dc metro area well enough that driving is not a problem. This hotel works well for the leisure traveler who wants access to downtown dc without experiencing the hustle and bustle of a metropolitan area.”

“When we checked in, the desk clerk had never dealt with a customer. His training manager hadn't had much experience, either. I asked if we could have a room with 2 double beds and he refused on the grounds that it had reserved a room for a queen bed. I know that's their choice, but in my past experience, a hotel usually will change the room if they are available for no extra cost. I asked what the difference between a single and a double bed room was and he refused to help me because he didn't know how much we paid. He did say we could have a roll-away which we got. It barely fit in the space because we were placed in a room for wheelchair customers which had a huge bathroom but a smaller sleeping area. The housekeeper who brought the roll away had a very bad attitude and banged the bed around. Morning staff were more pleasant. I had the feeling this hotel was mostly a training place for new management staff.”
