• Live goldfish provided in room upon request.

“ Arrived as a late check-in on a Friday night for a romantic weekend. Staff was friendly and efficient. I mentioned that I had seen on the website that they offer a goldfish in the room upon request, and he laughed and said "Yes, would you like one?" I said "yes." Fish was brought to the room within a half-hour. Room was very nice with King-sized bed, small desk, closet, small refrigerator (stocked, but still with some room for our personal items), hair dryer, CD player, alarm clock radio. My husband is 6' and he thought the shower head was too low. We both were disappointed that we couldn't adjust the shower water to a comfortable temperature easily - it was either too hot or too cold for us. The bed was comfortable. We stayed until Monday AM, and checkout was also friendly and efficient. We would stay here again. ”

• The design of the hotel requires a lengthy walk to many of the rooms.

• Beautiful hotel, great staff, just a fun time throughout.
• Nothing.

“Centrally located at the metro Chinatown stop. Staff members go out of their way to make sure guests needs are met. Historic building, beautifully remodeled. Wine hour was also fantastic.”

• Gorgeous hotel. Convent location.
• No children's menu at the restaurant, but our kids loved the food.

“Beautifully decorated and spacious rooms. First class all the way. The staff was very responsive, except we had to ask twice for an extra bed (air mattress since the roll away beds were all in use).
The restaurant was excellent! We would definitely stay here again.”

• It reminded me of South Beach, Miami!
• Hmmm - it rained.

“We had never stayed at the Hotel Monaco and wanted something close to the Verizon Center in Downtown, DC. This was literally across the street so the location was fantastic! The Hotel was decorated in a cool, funky way that reminded me of SoBe, Miami. The staff was great too.”

• Restaurant over priced and not worth it! Some of the staff behind the counter was not very helpful or friendly.

“Excellent location, walking distance to all the main tourist attractions. Great old building, just don't get stuck in the rooms on the first floor. Would stay there again.”

• Beautiful architecture.
• First floor corridors feel like being in the basement of the building. Air conditioner was noisy.

• Busy area - Valet parking was a bit crazy but overall it was fine.
