• Breakfast.
• Bad location, room's basic amenities damaged.

“It's cheap. If you're going there just to sleep it's fine, perhaps as a business traveler. Otherwise, it seems to be in a somewhat rough neighborhood. I ended up taking cabs to and from the city instead of opting to walk to the train a few blocks away, which ended up being more expensive, but ultimately safer. The room was okay. I had a smoking room that had burn marks on the toilet and tub, which was pretty bad. However, again, if you're up early and in late (as I was) it's not the worst thing. Lastly, starting at 5am you can hear the train come through every 15 minutes.”

• It was the close to the venue in which I was performing.
• It was dirty, nothing worked very well.

“I did not at all like this hotel and I do not know if I would ever consider staying in another Howard Johnson because of my poor experience.”

• Good breakfast selections.
• Too far from food & transportation.

“It was what I expected for a motel. Think the cost was not equal to value given. Room looked newer but still had some repairs not completed and carpet had stains. Never was able to get the phone message erased. Way too far from restaurants and local transportation, 1/2 mile to either. Not the best part of town.”

• The location.
• The outside is in very bad need of upgrading.

“While the location is good, the "smoking" room was very bad( Burn marks, odor etc) We were moved to a non smoking room which was much better. My wife wanted to change hotels. I phoned the numbers, went through TWO operators and was told that I would be contacted on Monday for a credit and never heard anything all week. ”

• The staff was friendly.
• It was noisy, not enough parking, continental breakfast was poor, poor location on a very busy highway that was way too close to the rooms.

“Although the staff were friendly, the hotel was extremely close to a busy commuter roadway in front and am track trains ran behind. The continental breakfast was poor quality and had to be eaten in the lobby area. Also the area around the motel was not the safest area.”
