“I found our room to be very comfortable. The bed was like sleeping on a cloud. The restaurant was a little overpriced but convenient if you didn't want to leave the hotel. Everything was centralized. Union station one block away and the Capital was two blocks away. Metro and Marc trains at Union Station. Easy to get around the city. We would definitely stay at this hotel again.”

“This was a nice hotel and if you charge something to your room they add a service charge on top of it and the parking was $30.00 per day. This seemed quite sneaky!”

“The decor of the Phoenix Hotel is lovely. The rooms are a bit small, but the location provides access to many restaurants and social establishments.”

“We had a fabulous stay at the Phoenix Park Hotel. It could not have been more convenient, with quick access to the Metro and very close to the capital building and monuments. The staff was very pleasant and helpful in making suggestions and travel arrangements. I cannot say enough about how comfortable the beds in the room were, I didn't want to wake up! The restaurant/bar (The Dubliner) was perfect for breakfast and a late night drink. I would go back in a second!”

“The hotel had nice beds, HDTV, and free wireless but the room was a bit on the smaller side. Overall, a good experience for the money.”

“Located very close to union station and the capitol, great for the tourist and business traveler alike. Room is comfortable and tastefully decorated to impart a homely feeling. Free wireless was an added bonus. Very convenient parking on the weekends but can be costly during the week.”

“The Phoenix Park Hotel is a quaint hotel in the heart of Downtown DC. Although it is an older hotel the rooms have been completely renovated and include flat panel TV's and internet. The staff and service is exceptional. I would highly recommend the hotel to business and personal travelers.”

“This hotel was an excellent match to the needs of my wife and I. The hotel's location allowed us to walk, as we prefer to do, to all the capitol sights and monuments. The food service provided by Dubliners restaurant (hotel associated) was timely and the food was excellent. Lastly, the bed was very comfortable, thus we were able to sleep well after walking many miles touring Washington DC.”

“This hotel was great for me because it was within walking distance of union station (one block). The room is very pretty. I shared a double bedded room with my sister and we were comfortable. Not all the rooms had as much room as we did. It was a bright and sunny room windows on 2 sides, but the street noise late at night actually woke us up. The pub connected to the hotel was friendly and fun. We did not eat at the hotel.”

“The hotel is very conveniently located but is amazingly small. Our room was directly above the pub and on a Friday night it was very noisy. The beds were delightful and the staff friendly.”

“Luxury boutique aspect helped to ease our minds. I read in other reviews that the bar/restaurant downstairs can get noisy enough to affect patrons but perhaps that was for only for certain rooms close to it. Where our room was located, it wasn't an issue. When we walked it we found the decor very quaint but were surprised by how small the room was the bed took up much of the space. However, the bed was extremely comfortable -just what we needed after a long day of walking in the humidity. The bathroom was spacious but it had a pedestal sink so that was inconvenient. We just used a shelf located above the toilet to set down all our toiletries. But the one of the best aspects of this hotel was it's proximity to Union Station, which had many eats as well as being a Metro and Amtrak station. I'd stay at the Phoenix Park again.”
