“The staff is friendly enough, and when I complained about charges on my credit card (unauthorized charges) they swiftly fixed it (the first time). After leaving, I noticed more unauthorized charges on my credit card from the hotel, I'm not too happy about them and they are going to be disputed.”

“Our family enjoyed our stay. The room had 2 queen size beds, a desk and TV. It was well decorated, clean although a little confining for four, but we didn't spend much time in the room. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The gift shop was nice but expensive (bring your own snacks if you can). There aren't many hotels in the area with pools, this hotel does have a pool. It is in good condition, the kids were happy to swim each night. If you are driving, the daily parking rate was $42. We would definitely stay here again.”

“The hotel was impeccable, from the valet service, to the staff. they helped us with travel plans and dining. the room was a single king and had enough space for a family of four using inflatable mattresses. Great look and feel of class in this hotel.”

“Very good location for visitors. Staff very accommodating. Food expensive. Lounge nice but wait service a little slow. Room very comfortable for the price. Inadequate ventilation in bathroom. TV service and selection poor. But, overall, we were very satisfied.”

“We stayed here on the first 2 nights of our week in D.C. location is pretty good, just a few blocks from the capital building, but not as close to to shops and restaurants. First night we had to change rooms because they put us in a joined room, and the man in the next room was on the phone; sounded like he was in the room with us. We were able to hear every word he said as if he was talking to us ( not his fault just thin doors and walls). They did move us with little fuss and the next room was much better. This hotel, like many in D.C., have a monopoly on parking spaces. The parking is $40+tax+tip a day, with no options to self park.”

“Overall, the hotel was a 8.5. My only disappointment was the room did not have a flat screen television.”

“When given my room key, I went to the room and found that someone else was in the room! This person had just checked in and was unhappy with the room, so while the spouse was getting keys to new room, they were waiting in my room. Certainly an awkward situation and not one I wanted to deal with after a 10 hour flight. Finally the cleaning staff arrived to freshly clean the room, which was unnecessary as the previous temporary occupants had not touched anything - but the maid would not simply leave. She insisted on calling her manager to report that the room was clean and for some reason, this took 10 minutes - using my room phone, while I waited to be left in peace. I would not stay at this hotel again.”

“This hotel has a boutique hotel feel about it. Although very large, once in my room (on 2nd floor), I felt removed from the noise. On the downside, the view from the window was of the window washers' basket - sitting right outside the window. I had to leave the curtains closed the entire time.”

“We also stayed at this hotel in July and are very pleased with all aspects of it. The staff were very helpful. The new lobby is beautiful. There wasn't one thing we can think of that was negative.”

“While being very close to the Capitol Building is a plus, the neighborhood does not feel very safe at night. It is beside a homeless shelter, and on 2 of our 3 nights stays we witnessed altercations. The building is still under renovations, the lobby is complete and spectacular. Parking is obscene as valet is the only option at $45/night! The view from our window, and from the looks of things most windows, is disappointing.”
