“They hit my car in the parking (parking valet was 40$ a day) no one has called me back yet regarding this matter. The bill was completely wrong. There was no public space for use all under construction. When I called in to the hotel to get directions or to confirm, on three occasions I waited over 20 minutes (long distance calls). Staff was good, but hotel was understaffed.”

“The place is under going a total renovation the lobby has plywood and construction fences and walls everywhere. The rooms are very old and dirty, the carpet, curtains and bedspreads needed to be replaced 5 to 10 years ago.”

“Overall it was a nice hotel aside from all the renovations taking place. It was like a maze trying to get around.”

“I was very disappointed only to find that I had to wait in line for 15 minutes to check in. There was no place to park my vehicle unless I paid a $41 fee a day for valet parking. When checking in, I let the front desk know I needed a crib, but still had to make 2 calls and finally received it at 10:00pm. There was no fridge or Microwave in room. Room was very hard to get to form elevators.”

“Staff was very friendly; under construction, which accounts for any negative part of my review - including that I think hotels under major renovation should be dropped by 1 star.”

“Hotel is under construction and it is apparent from the moment you walk in the door. There are walls (complete with duct tape) put up leading you down a maze-like path toward the front desk. Once we got to our room, everything was fine, but the only room with a king bed left (for my wife and I) was a very small corner room. The front desk staff was very polite and helpful and as we were checking in were putting up with a very obnoxious and rude British man (think: King of A-holes) and handling him professionally. The valet staff was quite rude though. It was as if you weren't going to give them money they had nothing to do with you - a simple question really put them out.”

“The hotel was nice except for the remodeling of the public spaces. The location was idea for site seeing and to the Metro system. The rooms are clean and nice with very nice linens. The beds feel soft and comfortable at first but they are not very supportive. I woke with a back ache in the morning. Everybody was very friendly and accommodating. It was a very nice hotel overall.”

“It was a nice hotel, but they were doing a lot of renovations. Maybe I would have had a better experience if the lobby was completed.”

“Great location for visitors to the nation's capitol. Within easy walking distance to key attractions. Not much in the way of nearby restaurants or stores.”

“The hotel lobby was under construction at the time of our visit. The work station in the lobby for printing out airline boarding passes was nice, although I had to clear a paper jam and load more paper. The front desk was slow in person and impossible to get a hold of over the phone (understaffed). The valet was a bit slow and seemed to beg for a tip. Although there were more than one valet, the man who brought my car up keep the keys in his pocket, then went to get another car. When I tried to retrieve my car, there were no keys until he finally returned.”

“It is a five minute walk to the Metro and very close to capital hill. The staff was extremely helpful and well-placed to help navigate the maze to the elevator. I'd definitely go back!”

“The room was fine. Nothing terribly impressive, just fine. The lobby was very chaotic with big pieces of plywood blocking areas, etc. I don't even know if the hotel has a restaurant. The room service breakfast was nice, but I thought for 2 people $54 for coffee, yogurt with granola & fruit, eggs & a piece of ham a bit steep. I'm assuming that when the construction is done, it will be much nicer. It is very misleading to give this hotel more than a couple stars at this time though.”
