“My husband and I stayed here with one other couple. The other couple was initially put in a very small room. After complaining they were eventually put in a room on the same floor as my husband and I. Our room had a strong cigarette smoke smell.”

“Hotel is close to Capitol. Clean, comfortable, pleasant and helpful staff, few amenities.”

“The restaurant was not open the entire time we were there. The area was questionable with no local places to eat with the exception of a bar across the street which had decent burgers and also served breakfast. Housekeeping did not respond to requests for more towels, a refrigerator (for medication) and additional pillows due to recent back surgery. They didn't picked the phone at all. The same for the room service phone - no one was home. The hotel was a virtual ghost town and pretty creepy. We did not venture out after our days of sight seeing - which were wonderful (highly recommend onboard tours).”

“Staff very nice; called with a slow drain after the first night and they apologized for the inconvenience and came right up. I liked that the hotel atmosphere was quiet; bathroom with very large tub and mini TV was great. Bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper because of the fire station. Very close to Union station which was the best. I would stay here again.”

“The best thing I can say is that it is convenient for those arriving by train at the Union Station. The hotel is clean but I would only rate it a two star. It lacked several room's amenities plus food is average and expensive.”

“My husband and I stayed here for an extended weekend vacation to DC. We loved the location of this hotel; 2 blocks from Union Station (the closest Metro stop) and 2 blocks from the Capitol. We would definitely stay here again. The hotel seems to get more business travelers than vacation travelers but worked well for us. The only thing that would have made things better is if there would have been a mini fridge in the room.”

“This was a very lovely hotel. All of the staff members were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were very clean and we had a nice view. The location, 2 blocks from the Capitol, was excellent for sightseeing in DC. We were very pleased and will definitely recommend this hotel to family and friends.”

“This hotel was great and very close to Union Station for tours and such. The room did not have a refrigerator or microwave but otherwise the food and the staff were great!”

“A first-rate hotel, centrally located within walking distance of virtually everything in DC except the Kennedy Center, with nice, clean rooms, courteous and fast bellhops, good room service, and the little touches of competence (e.g., your room key worked for the whole stay, etc.) that make it easy to relax.”

“We had a lovely stay at the Washington Court Hotel. The room furnishings are excellent quality, the bathroom quite luxurious, and the lobby is beautifully furnished as well. The personnel at the reception area is efficient, but extremely unfriendly. Parking is quite expensive at $34.00 per day, broad-band internet usage is fair at $9.95 per day. The hotel is close to Union Station, but a good walking distance away from Downtown. We would be happy to stay at the Washington Court Hotel again.”

“Good hotel in a convenient, safe location in downtown Washington, within walking distance to the major attractions. Our room was satisfactory, clean and comfortable though we noted that the TV was not working well (reception was poor at times). I noted that we were a party of 3, and we were given a king-sized bed. When I asked about other bed accommodations, the hotel said that there were no other types of accommodation. When we checked in, I was told that if I had wanted 2 double beds, it would have been extra $ per night. I found the staff attitude somewhat lacking, they didn't seem particularly friendly or helpful.”

“The location of this hotel is the largest benefit. About 2 blocks from union station, and 3 blocks from the Capitol and National Mall. The rooms were well-furnished, but due to the size of our room, seemed very crowded. Staff was very friendly and courteous, though concierge was short with me when I asked for local restaurants and did not offer to make a reservation. Overall, a well-priced room that I would certainly consider for a business trip, but not again for a vacation with my partner.”

“Don't bother. Nothing luxury about it. Pitiful business center. Concierge didn't' know how to give directions to convention center.”

“Comfortable, average sized room. Very friendly staff. No free internet access in room or business center was a real problem. Hotel is located in an area with no nearby small businesses including restaurants, so only food choices were hotel dining room or Starbucks.”

“The hotels good for business travel. It has no amenities other than the fitness room that was small. The nicest part was the staff, the atrium with the glass elevators and the location was perfect!”

“Convenient location. Modern room. They had internet but you had to pay for it, which was not right. No parking but expensive daily charges.”

“This is a great place to stay, older but nicely refurbished hotel. I recommend you arrive without a car. We came by Union Station in Amtrak. My wife and I did not mind the two to three block walk to Union Station to catch either the Metro or various tour buses. Grab a coffee from Starbucks and off for a little exercise. We felt completely safe in the immediate neighborhood.” Hotel Representatives:
