• The location was great.
• The hotel was not clean, and the staff was lazy.

“The Renaissance is in a great location. It's two blocks from the Verizon Center, Chinatown, and the Gallery Place Metro. The hotel lobby is nice, however, the rooms are not clean and well maintained. My room had mildew in the shower and a very old television with a blown speaker that severely distorted the sound that came out of it. The same piece of trash remained on the floor in the hallway outside my door the entire duration of my stay.”

• The hotel was well located The concierge staff was excellent.
• The valet parking is expensive as is the 15 corners restaurant for breakfast

“Pleasant, well located, valet parking pricey, highly responsive concierge desk, clean, wifi in lobby, a charge for wifi in room which was unappealing.”

• We were upgraded to a junior suite and the hotel staff were very helpful.
• The waiter in the presendents club restaurant was not good.

“The room was large, comfortable and clean. Within walking distance to many attractions. The concierge staff were very helpful and friendly. The only negative thing have to say was the waiter in the presendents club was very slow and inattentive. Another waiter had to help us. I would recommend this hotel to others.”

• All non smoking, fairly large clean swimming pool, comfortable bed, refrigerator in room, maid service good, very nice overall.
• Expensive internet access, no flat screen TV, room somewhat on smaller side.

“Excellent value. Four night stay. Room on ninth floor. Hotel is in convenient location, about two hundred yards from two subway entrances. Friendly staff especially housekeeping. First day, had to request check of air conditioner. Problem fixed almost immediately by very professional and competent individual. Lather brand bath products very nice. Comfortable beds. Nice pool. Overall, I would bring my family back to this hotel anytime.”

• The convince store was not open at the proper time.

• Concierge was very helpful.
• The pool was awful!

“A lovely lobby with beautiful flowers leads to small but well appointed rooms with equally small bathrooms. However everything was clean and well-maintained. On a sour note the pool was noisy, crowded, and dangerous. There was no supervision of kids and adults violating rules of safety and common courtesy. No place to sit in the pool area either.”

• The staff could not do enough to help and were friendly at all times.
• They should advertise their lower level food court to the guests.

“The hotel provides all the services a leisure or business traveler could want or expect. The rooms were comfortable and there was no wait for elevators. The hotel is close to all attractions. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were great, although the prices were on the high side. Any traveler would not be disappointed staying at this hotel.”

• Nice big room. Good staff, nice lobby, pool and workout room.
• High priced drinks.

“Very nice stay. Front desk staff upgraded my room. Got us in early. Concierge desk got us on a tour and found a very nice restaurant for my party of 16.”

• The hotel lobby was gorgeous.
• The rooms were a bit tired & needed updating.

“The room was not great. We had a junior suite, and there was no TV in the area where the master bed was (TV was located in front of the pull out couch). There was no service bar nor refrigerator (although the hotel claimed that the rooms had a refrigerator. I did not think that the hotel was 3-star caliber.”

• Great location, good staff.
• Sub Par beds, some decor is definite 3 star or below, outrageous parking prices.

“This hotel is definitely not a 4 star. The bed was lumpy, worn out, and very grooved. The drapes in the hall were 2-3 star at best, just cheap and ugly. The pool was not available and won't be for some time. The TV is a small tube TV, not flat screen. The soda machine was not working on my floor and had to go to the floor below to get a soda. It may have been a 4 star at one time but it has not kept up the luster a 4 star must have. I would stay there again but it is not a true 4 star and would not take much to get back to that status. Beautiful lobby and very good staff. The hotel is closer to a 4 star than a 3 star but I gave it a 3 star rating because of the beds and other deficiencies.”

• Parking cost $22 per night.

“This hotel is conveniently located in Downtown DC. It has an excellent restaurant and a spectacular lobby with huge floral arrangements and high ceiling. Also in the lobby is a Starbucks and a sports bar.”

• Spa/fitness center facility was excellent with a full size pool. Staff friendly, easy checkout.
• King bed was requested but not available. Double beds were small for 2 people. Had to pay extra for wireless internet.
