• The hotel is located near downtown Silver Spring, which is a nice area with plenty of restaurants and shops.
• The hotel and room were smelly and grimy.

“The hotel is very utilitarian. It's got everything you need for a quick overnight stay, but with more than a comfortable amount of grime and smell. The walls are very thin and rest was almost impossible before 2am. The staff was curt and unfriendly. It was not impossible to stay at this hotel, but it was by no means a comfortable or enjoyable experience.”

• Excellent location re transportation, clean, economical, uncomplicated.
• A coffee shop would be nice but I don't know where they would put it.

“Easy access to Rt. 495, free parking, a 15-minute walk to the metro red line, and, if you don't want to walk that far or plan to come back at night, the metro bus stops at the door. If you have brief business in Washington, it couldn't be more practical and economical.”

• Room was clean and bed comfortable.
• The lobby area wasn't very inviting. The smell of cigarette smoke lingered.

“The location was border line - close to downtown Silver Spring but a little sketchy. The handle on the bathroom spigot was broken and the coffeemaker basket was broken. My room was near the elevator and it sounded as if someone were running up and downstairs constantly. Parking is a little problematic, too. It was just ok for the money. Staff seemed helpful. With a few tweaks it could be a lot better.”
