“If you are going to stay in Silver Spring this is the most convenient place and they have a free shuttle to move you around. However, it's a bare bones kind of place. Very clean and very nice staff, but not knowledgeable about the town and the hotel had limited choices for food with a very overpriced restaurant.”

“I found this hotel to be adequate. For women business travelers, factors like security and grooming ergonomics are more important than for men. I like a bathroom that has a mirror placement so I can see a back view of my hair, and the bathroom lighting was lousy. I also like a parking garage that has a visible attendant or visible monitoring. A small refrigerator is also would be helpful for a woman travelling alone, who may not be able to eat out every night, nor want to advertise solo status in a restaurant.”

“The hotel was completed booked, they were not able to move me to a non smoking room until after the first night. While the manager on duty tried to freshen up the smell of the room and make our stay that first evening more pleasant by giving us a 50% discount on dinner at their restaurant, our first night was barely tolerable because of smoking coming into our room from other smoking rooms on the hall. Because of this first night experience, my stay at this hotel was significant tainted. This hotel needs to enter the 21st century and go completely non-smoking.”

“The staff of the Crowne Silver Spring were uniformly pleasant, polite and helpful. Check-in was handled quickly; self parking was a bit difficult - it took a while to find a space and required some maneuvering to get into one in the area to which I was directed. The key cards failed to open the door but, when I took them to the desk, the problem was quickly corrected. Our stay was pleasant and uneventful; checkout was handled efficiently and pleasantly.”

“This is a very nice hotel with a great location. Easy walking distance to the Metro and restaurants. Very friendly and helpful staff. Room was nice, clean and comfortable. It has a parking garage that was $10 per night. We would definitely stay there again!”

“Almost everything was great with this particular location of Crown plaza. The parking was always available in the many levels of parking deck however an extra 10 dollars a night. That is expected being that the location is in downtown silver springs. The beds and extra pillow swallow your body leaving you well rested every morning or in my case night since I worked the night shift during my stay. Which brings to me not so pleasurable part of my stay. During the period of my stay I worked nights and expect nothing but rest during the day when most people are out and about. Of course the first thing you do when you arrive at a hotel and are working noghts is to place that little sign on the door telling the staff that privacy is needed. I dont know about you but privacy please means "Leave me be"! Every day I would hear the cleaning lady knock once and they try to enter without success because of the chain securing the door. I asked several times not to be disturbed during the day, and wouldnt you know it the only day that I was not disturbed was the day of check out. Another incident was when I was checked in for the second time it took all of 30 minutes. It took 3 days to get my 250 dollars back! Bad staff, great hotel!”

“Friendly staff, clean and convenient. Business room offers computer use and internet connections. Restaurant is convenient but service was slow and food disappointing - we ate there three times, twice for breakfast and once for lunch. However, there are many restaurants within walking distance and the hotel provides a shuttle for those within a 3-mile radius. I would be happy to stay here again.”

“Great hotel. Served my needs as a traveler. Parking garage is presumably safe--so that is a plus especially when you are moving a lot of luggage or boxes around town for any length of time. Business center great. Wish they would replace the toner more often. Otherwise, great friendly staff. Would recommend.”
