• Furnishings in the rooms were in good shape.
• Inadequate staff at front desk, small lobby area -no seating, loud people in hallways.

“Nice clean rooms, although common areas looked dated and were small. Insufficient staff to handle in-flux of guests checking in. Good value, although not a 3.5 star hotel.”

• Good location.
• Hotel staff from front desk to valet very poor service.

“Hotel overall very nice. Lastly impression very poor service, I called down 30 minutes before needing car from valet. Car was not ready & valet was just walking around not busy. Front desk had incorrect charges on my bill. I had to wait until front desk found someone who could tell me that I was correct. I was told they could not find receipt from restaurant to justify charges. I explained multiple times that I did not spend anytime at the restaurant/bar area. The final painful issue is that I asked for change to tip the valet & this was yet another very time consuming task.”

• Overall clean, and kept well with
  nice staff.
• Pool not open. 85 degrees.

“Caulking very loose, and unsightly in tub. Leaky sink drain. Toilet ran water intermittently. Seemed like a lack of interest in having a very nice hotel.”

• The decor or the hallways and lobby were nice (small but nice).
• Staff was unfriendly, no view, missing amenities in room.

“More time needs to be spent training the staff than remodeling. Vending machines would not take bills, when notified the staff's reply was try another floor then, which I had done. Coffee machine and mugs were not in my room. Exercise room is the same size as the bed room. Parking is insecure in the basement. Bathroom was extremely small.”

  extremy rude. Put us between a group of teenagers and then would not move us.

• The location was great, downtown silver spring.

“The hotel was fine but I would question their ethics. The hotel charged my credit card for an additional fee without my consent. I will never stay with this hotel chain again.”

• The deception used in telling you there was construction.
• The jackhammer being used outside my room all day.

“When I checked in, the lady didn't mention there was construction directly outside the window of my room. I was treated to the sound of jackhammers all day. Since I work at night and sleep during the day, you can see the problem with this. You wouldn't think a hotel with a 3.5 star even think of renting a room that would have a jack hammer being used outside the window all day. Then they try to make it the customers fault, low class. They got my money this time, but they will never, I mean never get a dime from me again!”

• Loved the large desk, seating area, comforatble beds and bath granite counter top.
• Saw a bug in bathroom, need microwave refrigerator.

“Very friendly staff. Very comfortable beds and enjoyed the nice furniture. The bathroom was very clean and modern. Enjoyed the hotel restaurant. Saw a bug in the bathroom on the last day. Would probably stay again. Hopefully, there would be no more bugs. Overall, stay was very comfortable.”

“Nice for the price. Don't know why the restaurant wasn't full every night--the food was delicious, well prepared and well presented. Waitress was new but attentive and carefully supervised.”

• 27 TV channels - 6 are sports, 7 are news. selection does not cater to women.

“Great location! Walk to the Metro and restaurants in downtown Silver Spring. They will provide a feather pillow if you ask for it.”

“If you are going to stay in Silver Spring this is the most convenient place and they have a free shuttle to move you around. However, it's a bare bones kind of place. Very clean and very nice staff, but not knowledgeable about the town and the hotel had limited choices for food with a very overpriced restaurant.”
