• Location.
• Needs renovation.

“Great location within walking distance of downtown and several good restaurants. Live music after hours. Hotel is being renovated, older rooms/furniture are in poor condition.”

• The location is prime minus the inconvenience of trademark consumer commerce.
• Moldy/stuffy rooms can be found on all 5 floors of the main building.

“Summed up. Moldy rooms galore. Main building should be imploded and rebuilt.”

• Pet friendly. Got a great room and a good view and was not placed in the back somewhere because I had a pet. Called me to see if I was satisfied
• Did have strong cigarette smoke in the hallway.

“Room clear and great view on water. Nice walking areas. Close to shopping and historical areas. Pet friendly and staff helpful.”

• Fire at 2:30am on 2nd night, stood outside 30 minutes, motel gave one price for marina, they charged more.

“Great location, clean met all our expectations except water around motel dirty and stained my boat, motel told me $1 a foot for boat if we stayed there, however marina had min fee of $30 per night( I had 20' boat) 2nd night fire at 2:23am, air conditioner motor burnt out, stood outside with wife and two grandkids for 30 mins., motel Staff NEVER came out and told us to stay out, come in, we returned when fire dept left. I never went back to sleep. In fact, I was so upset with the dirty water I loaded my boat 2nd day even tho I had paid for docking. We did not eat dinner at motel on first night due to outside staff refusing to let 3 & 5 yr old grand child eat their pizza near pool (front desk staff said it was OK)We wanted to have a few drinks, order a sandwich, grandkids live in New Bern and brought pizza with them. They ate pizza in our room and we walked to Restaurant to eat dinner. PS: They did upgrade my room at no addition cost since all others booked but I would not stay there again if boating/fishing. Excellent breakfast on morning we checked out. Front desk staff super upon check-in. Maids could not speak English but rooms were really super clean and nice. Gift shop lady was super nice, and of course I purchased items for kids, wife, daughter.”

• Nice view of marina.
• The room was rundown and dirty as was the restaurant.

“I was very disappointed in this hotel. The staff was friendly and they did have a sign up saying to excuse the mess due to remodeling. However, the restaurant reminded me of a truck stop with a little better furniture, the staff was nice. My room was below par for this brand, the stucco was coming off the wall, the carpet was extremely worn and dirty, the ceiling tiles were discolored and the tub was scratched badly and bathroom as a whole was not the quality I would expect from a Sheraton. The staff was very friendly and the view was nice, but the overall quality of the hotel (lobby, restaurant, and guest room) was sub-par.”

• Requested nonsmoking room. Ashes everywhere in room.

“The room I requested was double non-smoking. The room smelled like cigarette smoke and ashes was hidden in a desk drawer and in the vents of the air conditioning and heating unit. All of my belongings smell like cigarette smoke.”
