• Huge rooms. Really cool decor. Definitely a cut above.
• VERY limited cable channel options. No FOX News, but CNN on 3 channels.

• Great decor!
• Tiny lobby.

“The service staff could not have been more helpful. Even with little things like helping us to print out paper tickets for events. Our room was spacious and beautifully decorated.”

“The friendly way in which the valet parker greeted us set the stage for a very enjoyable stay. The complimentary wine in the evening and coffee in the morning was an added pleasure.”

• Really big room.
• Common areas looked old/cheap despite trendiness.

“Hotel Rouge has trendy decorations and gigantic hotel rooms. I enjoyed the Aveda bath products, the choice of firm/soft pillows, and free internet. The facilities were clean, although the actual building seems old. Some of the decor seems cheap - e.g. the red plastic walls on the elevators. Hall noise tended to drift into the room, which was problematic when staying on the 2nd floor across from the conference rooms.”

• It was a great location; the people were super friendly and very accommodating.
• I had no complaints - if I were to say anything it was that the elevators were slow and they didn't have ice on every floor.

“The hotel was great I checked in to one of the suites on the 7th floor. Very nice and very clean. The best thing that happened to me was that the morning that I was flying home and the front desk called for a car to take me to the airport. I accidentally left my PDA in the car. I called the hotel and they took the time to follow up on and found it for me. They knew how important someone’s cell phone is to them and the sent it back to me overnight! That was awesome service. Thank you!”

• The afternoon front desk people were awesome!
• The television channel selection was limited.

“This is a modern and clean facility. The staff is exceptional and goes the extra mile to make sure your stay is memorable. The room was large and comfortable with decent air conditioning. The bathroom was large, but the wash basin was almost too small for the room. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who might visit Washington D.C.”

• Very modern.
• Hearing all the traffic all night!

“I like the Kempton Chain, however I prefer the Hotel Helix better than this hotel. The hotel was on a main street so if your room was in the front of the building u could hear the traffic and it was very loud! I had a hard time sleeping & I was on the 6th floor.”

• Big rooms

“The hotel is well located, with big rooms and good service. Free internet access, a free coffee bar in the morning, coffee makers and such make it a place where one is not obliged to spend additional money over the room price. A great stay for a reasonable price.”

• The atmosphere was very nice. Comfortable and fast service.
• The hotel does not have restaurant. It has a bar that doubles in the mornings as a restaurant.

• The staff from front desk, bar, valet and all was exceptional and friendly.
• I was not aware of the $30 per day to park a car.

“The hotel is centrally located with everything within 30 minutes. I do not like those circles in DC. The staff was very nice and friendly and helped with anything we requested most graciously.”
