• The location to downtown was excellent.
• The smell of smoke in the hallways.

“The location of the hotel was convenient for my husband and I was to be able to get to downtown. New Bern quickly. The staff was very friendly, the breakfast was great and the rooms were very clean. We would definitely stay here aging if we come back to New Bern on business.”

“I am not sure of the going rate for the rooms but it was moderately priced (probably because of Priceline). It was worth what we spent.”

• The staff was very friendly and helpful. They were polite and accommodating. The hotel was clean. The continental breakfast was good.
• I was in a non-smoking room which was stuck between smoking rooms. It smelt in the hallways. They should make a separate non-smoking floor.

“I enjoyed my stay here. The area was quite and right on the river. You had a view of the river from your room. It is placed between the towns, which gave you access to shopping and dining. The staff were very polite and helpful. I would recommend this hotel to friends. The little old town is very peaceful and the shops are cute.”

• On the waterfront and close to highway.
• Restaurant closed, no high-speed Internet in rooms, no hair dryer in room.

“My wife and I were very disappointed to learn that the pictures of the great restaurant were misleading as the restaurant was closed. In addition, there was only dial-up Internet connection in the room -- very slow with charges by the minute. And, surprisingly, we discovered too late that there was no hair dryer provided in the room. This is definitely a sleep-only environment at vacationers rates.”
