• The TV.
• The parking was 32.00 a day.

“The bartender ask me for identification in a nasty rude manner and I'm 45 years old. He did not want to serve me.”

• Good decor and location. Beds and lighting were great.
• There were two a/c units. One was unplugged because it had a loud noise when turned on. When I asked for service, they just plugged it back in.

“Very attractive, but very full of people, youth groups, hanging out in lobby, noisy- took away some of the upscale feel of the hotel. Staff was great. Our room was on second floor, facing inside to other buildings, but was quiet. They said it was the only room left with two doubles. If we had wanted some kind of view we would have been out of luck.”

• The location in foggy bottom was great. The staff was friendly.
• We reserved a king bed and when we checked in the bed was unavailable.

“I was surprised at how different the hotel looked in person than on their website. I would say this hotel is moderate at best, not a luxury hotel.”

• Aesthetics were definitely prioritized, exercise facility well maintained.
• The concierge was rude and presumptuous with my husband.

“Comfortable bed, well appointed but small room - ideal if you're not spending much time in the actual hotel, fantastic bathroom, well thought-out space; great lobby area - check in tot he right and relaxing to the left - cuts down on the insanity that usually ensues in a big hotel lobby.”

• Modern with nice amenities such as HD flat screen TV.
• Rooms were smaller than average.

“Nice modern hotel in a good location. Loved the large flat screen HDTV. Restaurants and shopping are within walking distance. We asked a room for three and got put in a room with a queen bed and a roll away which left no room in an already small room. Having to walk to another motel to go swimming was inconvenient. No pool!”

• Clean, new, modern.
• No problems with anything.

“I had a good experience here. It has a great location with several places nearby to dine. There is a Walgreen's a block away that was great to go to for typical shopping needs. Sunscreen, an umbrella, snacks. I was very happy with the hotel, flat screen TV in the room. I would certainly come here again.”

“We stayed here for a weekend coming from NYC. The hotel location is awesome. You are close to G-town, Dupont, Metro, etc. You will be happy with this hotel though.”

• Staff was excellent. Hotel furnishing very nice.
• You could hear everything through the walls and lobbies.

“Staff and food in restaurant was excellent. The rooms were the smallest we've ever stayed in. Extremely hard to move around the furniture. Hotel staff was ok. There were very loud conventioneers overflowing into the street both nights we stayed. The hotel wouldn't or couldn't contain them so other guests could walk through the lobby. Despite using a white noise machine, you could still hear through the walls and lobby.”

“The lobby seems to be a very busy place with lots of noise. It seems to be a location for conferences, instead of a meeting room location.”

• No restaurant on site (although many are close by).

“This is where I try to stay any time I travel to DC. I used to live in DC - M Street is really the best. Easy access everywhere with great staff. The hotel feels a little more upscale because it is much more personal than some of the larger hotels in DC.”

• High parking charge and internet charge.

“The Renaissance is an upscale hotel in between Georgetown and the heart of DC. The rooms are small but very nicely designed, the beds are comfortable and the staff is very helpful. The workout facility is adequate. Be prepared to pay high fees for parking, the Internet and for meals.”

• Attentive service.
• The pool wasn't in this Marriott, you needed to travel to other Marriott to use their pool.

“Upon checking in, I requested for a queen bed. There were no rooms available with double beds or cot beds. The manager kindly upgraded my room to a junior suite with a pull out couch. Great customer service.”
