“The price was a little higher than the Marriot's. I didn't see any difference in the two hotel chains, so in the future, for the money I would go with the Marriot hotel.”

• Great bed. Great doormen, front desk staff and
  great bathroom.

“For a romantic stay it can hardly be beat. We were welcomed and assisted by the doormen and the front desk staff got us into our very comfortable room. Bathroom with modern looks with textured wall covering treatment, great shower and soaps, creams shampoos, all top of the line. Location made it easy to get to Georgetown, Kennedy Center and all the sites. Would stay again anytime.”

• Attentiveness of the staff.
• Very limited dining menu.

“The Westin Grand is a very attractive hotel with extremely friendly and helpful staff. The rooms were large and clean and the bathroom was very spacious and clean. Westin appears to be putting an emphasis on healthy living but this visitor found the menu options a bit too limiting in this manner.”

• The rooms were comfortable and nicely decorated.
• Room service was a bit limited.

“It was great for location, amenities, comfort. I would recommend it for the price. It is not in the luxury class, but is very nice, nice bathrooms, comfy beds with big down comforters and pillows. Service was good. Overall my experience was very good.”

  morning/cold hallways.

“The hotel is nice. Staff was nice. We woke up to No hot water and the hallways wherever cold 60 degree cold. The location is about a 15 to 20 minute walk to the shops of Georgetown.”

• The rooms were spacious for DC.
• The hotel shows a little bit of aging.

“The staff was extremely friendly. Our room was great and had a huge soaking tub and separate shower. It was definitely nice for a weekend getaway to the Georgetown area.”

• Peaceful and calming from the lobby to the room. Indulgent linens, bath robe and towels.
• Poor room lighting.

“Peaceful, calm, indulgent without being pretentious. Helpful and accommodating staff. Great location near Georgetown. Ate in Cafe M for dinner, food was terrific. Room service menu prices were outrageous so did not partake.”

• Location, you are less than fifteen minutes from the metro.
• Price in the restaurant; but, with so many restaurants in the area.

“Great, but still flawed. I must have had a run of bad luck on bathrooms because the two hotels I stayed at on my business trip both had hairs in the tub. I found that a bit disgusting and disappointing.”

• Full size bed.

“The doormen were always there to great you and open the door. The lobby is decorated in a minimal fashion with Contemporary leather coaches and stools, small candles are lit at night to create an ambiance. There is a Courtyard in the center of the hotel with a European flair, complete with fountain- perfect place for a wedding. There is a lap pool and a gym- no Jacuzzi or locker room. Beautiful overall. The rooms are spacious with marble and granite bathrooms and deep bath tubs.”

“This was a fabulous hotel. Staff was friendly and courteous. The bed was like lying on a cloud and the bathtub was roomy and luxurious. A perfect getaway spot!”

• Excellent location, clean rooms, responsive staff.
• Lack of an fan exhaust in bathroom created musty smell.

“Bathroom was excellent with new, separate all-glass shower stall, bath tub and toilet with wide single sink counter. However, there is no bathroom window or fan exhaust and we believe the lingering moisture caused a musty smell to accumulate in the main room. Whatever the cause, the hotel was first rate in providing us an ozonator to eliminate the smell. Location is excellent with Metro two blocks, car rental one block, Trader Joe's one block away and express laundry/dry cleaning across the street.”
