“Hotel was awesome. The only problem was it was under renovation, so a bit noisy at times on the floor I was staying. I would have still stayed there but would have asked for a non-renovation floor or arranged my time accordingly.”

“The staff at this hotel was the best! Very attentive, helpful and always courteous. The rooms were very nice and the bathroom was spacious. The hotel was being renovated, so the pool wasn't open, but other than that you would never know that renovations were going on. The fitness center was adequate, if a bit on the warm side.”

“We really enjoyed the Westin Grand Hotel. The room was quiet, very tasteful, and comfortable. The location made walking tours of downtown and Georgetown great. The hotel food was the best in the neighborhood, in our experience, though expensive. The staff was helpful and cheerful.”

“The staff, location, and quality of my room was fantastic. Loved it. On the down-side, they were in the midst of renovations. The rooms next door and above were under construction, which was audible. That being said, it was not overwhelmingly loud and the noise ceased by about 5 or 6pm. I was very pleased with my stay as a whole.”

“Westin Grand is being renovated. The renovated rooms are nicely done. Restaurant for breakfast is very expensive but other cheaper options are close by. We were two adults and two children. The three nights we were there the hotel was not busy, we never saw anyone else staying on our floor. But we were told they were sold out and no rooms with two beds were available. They did offer a free rollaway bed which was brought up quickly. All the staff were friendly and helpful except the desk person who was probably just following orders in refusing to give us a room with two beds.”

“Tremendous location. Exceptionally clean. Staff was very attentive and helpful. There was remodeling underway, but the workers were quiet and did not start early or continue past 5:00PM. Great location as we were visiting GW University (2 blocks) doing some shopping (Georgetown an easy walk), and sight-seeing (White House and monuments just a few additional blocks to the south and east). The room, with a single king, was quite small. Barely room for a roll-away bed. Extra-cost for in-room internet seemed tacky.”

“After reading so many negative reviews online, I was not expecting to be pleased with our room. However, I was extremely happy with the room given to us for our 4 night stay. Newly renovated, and very large bathroom with separate tub! I would recommend this hotel again and will hope to stay there again soon. Only negative was parking but the valet service was always quick.”

“The parking staff took great care of our oversized vehicle without being asked. We were disappointed that they were not able to fulfill our request for adjoining rooms. The day before they had told us that it would be "no problem" but upon check in they were not able to supply us with the adjoining rooms. The hotel is in a great location, three blocks from a metro stop and about a mile from the Lincoln Memorial. Fabulous for touring Washington with the family.”

“We were greeted enthusiastically and shown a beautiful room. It was a king size bed with plenty of floor space. Separate shower from the soaking tub. The room had been remodeled with all new furniture and paint. We were the first ones to use the room. It was a great.”

“Will not stay here again even though it is a great area and the beds/showers were nice. They charge $10.00 per day for internet (crazy). Very rude front desk staff most spoke little English. Secondary staff were great for the most part.”

“Great location and great dining options. The hotel is under construction so it is very noisy. We were woken up to fire alarms going off next door and drilling in the rooms next to ours. You couldn't even talk in the rooms, it was that loud. It sounded like they were jack hammering in the room. When done, Im sure the experience would have been a lot better. We were very unhappy with the noise level and that the staff didn't do anything about it. They said it was published on their website that they were under construction. Rooms on both sides of us were under construction, so it was really loud. Other than that, the hotel is beautiful and centrally located.”

“The Westin Grand in DC is a very elegant hotel conveniently located near GW University and other city landmarks. The room itself was pristine and offered all the amenities to make our stay comfortable. The "heavenly bed" lived up to its namesake, and I would definitely book this hotel again!”

“The newly renovated rooms are outstanding, especially separate bathrooms with separate tub and shower and WC. Flat panel TVs and beds are also very nice. Standard rooms themselves are not large, but bathrooms are large. Overall understated quality very high for renovated rooms in this hotel. Renovations now scheduled complete by 5/15. Be sure to ask for a renovated room.”

“Noisy remodeling was being completed when we stayed there and began at 8am daily. Not a problem for us but heard other guests grumbling. Short walk to great restaurants in Georgetown. Exceptionally friendly staff. They did not hold the room type we requested, so had to upgrade us for the remainder of our stay.”
