  • Very clean, fast to respond, timely service and great location.
  • $28.00 per day for parking. more expensive than renting a car.

“Big,attractive, friendly,Large rooms with comfortable beds, free coffee and juice with your choice of news paper on front of your door at the time you requested . Great house keeping team. I would return to same hotel on my next visit to Washington D.C.”

  • Staff was friendly and willing to help.
  • The room with 2 queen beds was not available the first night - we were able to change rooms for the next 2 nights.

“Hotel was very nice - the staff accommodating and helpful. We had requested connecting rooms - 1 king and one with 2 queen beds. Initially given 2 rooms across and down the hall from each other - wasn't going to work with our 2 teenagers sharing a room, especially with a king bed (for a teenage girl and boy). Hotel did provide a rollaway for the first night, and then moved us to connecting rooms with 1 king, 2 queens for the second and third nights. Overall, good experience would probably stay again.”

“Perfect location for a Metro subway connection.”

  • Fridges in room were extremely small.

“Wonderful, exquisite, warm.”

  • Location was great! Staff was
helpful! Entire hotel was extremely clean and beautiful.
  • The on-site restaurant had a minimal menu at best. Better restaurants a short walk away.

“Our experience at this hotel was fantastic! From the valets, to staff, to accommodations. The best parts of our trip were spent in the hotel. I would recommend this hotel who wants a hassle-fee stay in a clean, friendly hotel.”

  • Many services in one location.
  • Lackluster.

“A boring hotel with lackluster services and a great view.”

  • The lobby and the lobby bar are beautiful. The flowers outside (tulips) are wonderful.
  • They need to have a ramp (for luggage and wheelchairs) taking you from street level to lobby level.

“I had a great experience at the hotel as
I always do at any omni hotel. I'm not sure what was going on but there were rather large water spots on the floor of my room and all of the hallways.”

  • Bell person was extremely helpful with all our luggage.
  • There were limited area maps or directions to help us.

“The room was large; the beds were very comfortable, but there was a lot of unused space in the room. Compared to the rest of the room. Two people could not use the bathroom area at the same time.”

  • History. Close to National Mall in D.C.
  • No view of D.C. or monuments. Off beaten path.

“Comfortable, classy, sophisticated, historical, away from the hustle & bustle of D.C.”

  • Location very near to metro stop.

“Very courteous staff, was displeased with charge for gym.”

  • Great view. One block from Metro. Centrally located.
  • Room was not clean. Killed roach in bathroom. Bedspread and carpet had stains.

“It's located centrally, just one block from the Metro and right on the edge of Rock Creek Park. The bed was comfortable. Lovely view of park and bridge from my window. But the rooms were not clean. I killed a roach in the bathroom. Hotel staff graciously moved me to a different room. But in that room, the bedspread and carpet had dirt stains. So I was not happy with the cleanliness of the hotel, but location was great.”

  • The quality of the hotel, the bed was amazingly comfortable, and the location.
  • The small bathroom.

“The Omni Shoreham is a perfect hotel for a visitor to Washington DC. The staff is very friendly, there is a metro station right across the street, and it is close to parks, Dupont Circle, and Georgetown. The room was large, although the bathroom was small and a bit outdated.”

  • This hotel is very convenient to the Washington, DC Metro line.

“This is a well maintained hotel which is only a short Metro ride from the main Washington sightseeing destinations.”

  • Commitment to Guiding Eyes for the Blind- having black labs in training at the hotel.
  • No environmental commitment - really stupid & not with it. No signs asking not to change bed linen every day or any other environmental values.

“Lovely hotel. Needs environmental commitment - saving energy with bed linens, drinking water, etc. The black labs in training as service dogs are a wonderful touch.”

  • Amazing public spaces. Responsive staff.
  • Four star in public places; three star in the room. The food in the bar was so so at best.

“Really attractive. A three star room; not a four star. Beautiful public places. The food in the bar wasn't great but the food at Open City Cafe across the street is good and they're open late. Good gym with well-maintained equipment at a cost of $10/day or $18 for your stay.”

  • Spacious rooms, large towels, complimentary breakfasts.

“Non pareil for the price. Excellent restaurant, excellent decor, wonderfully informed and helpful staff and beautiful location.”

  • Loction and
    large room.
  • Under furnished, lacked adequate heating for size of room and bath.

“I have stayed in the hotel several times over the past 50 years. It has been updated and in spite of its age is quite attractive. Decor is modern, however infrastructure (heating) does not support the star level.”

  • Beautiful historic property.
  • Chinese protesters banging drums and blaring music at 7:20am.

“Great stay except due to G-20 meeting Chinese president was at nearby Marriott. After a late night, protesters began banging drums and blaring music at 7:20am. We and many other guests were not happy. This was beyond the hotels control. On a normal day this is a great hotel for the price.”
