• It was located close to a Metro stop.
• It is located outside of Downtown D.C.

• Nice view of the bridge/ really nice hammock.
• Expensive drinks at the bar.

“Great place to stay in DC. Very gracious, comfortable with lovely grounds and convenient to metro, Adams Morgan, zoo, DuPont circle, rock creek, etc.”

• Lobby and other rooms very luxurious.
• Our room sub-par, long way from lobby, no wireless as promised.

“The hotel is unbelievably nice and luxurious. However, our room was as far as you could get from the lobby, did not have wireless internet as promised (our section of the hotel was the only part that didn't) and was very noisy, the maids gathered outside our room very early in the morning and stayed there talking loudly off and on for over an hour. The bed was uncomfortable.”

• The outdoor garden with lovely grassy areas and hammocks was just lovely.
• Bathroom was a bit cramped.

“The Omni Shoreham is in a great location with very comfortable rooms and despite being a huge facility this hotel was very friendly in spirit. As I mentioned above the huge garden area was completely unexpected for a city hotel and our family loved being outdoors just relaxing in the hammocks between activities.”

• Bathroom door did not close, cleaning service.

“The location was near to the metro and on a nice day, walking distance from Dupont circle. The room was clean although the bathroom door wouldn't close so if you were sharing it could be embarrassing. Also, I was awoken at 730am by the cleaning crew and I told them to come back. I was checking out that day so if they cleaned it while I was still there then the next person would only have a semi clean room.”

• We had a shared balcony with the room next door, but our room was locked to go onto it. There was not! Restaurant extremely overpriced!

• Grand public spaces; lovely, spacious room overlooking beautiful gardens.

“I loved my experience at the Omni Shoreham. It's a beautiful, wonderfully located hotel with grand public spaces. My room was the largest hotel room (not a suite) I've ever stayed in, with every amenity, a spacious bathroom as well, and a view of the hotel's lovely gardens filled with blossoming trees. The staff was courteous and professional; fine service. I'd be delighted to stay at this hotel again.”

• The hotel room was very spacious and well appointed.
• Nothing.

“The hotel was great. The staff was excellent and the room was fantastic. Of course, given the location and star level, the restaurant and parking was expensive, but not unreasonably so. With respect to dining, there were so many excellent choices within walking distance. Mealtime did not have to break the bank. The staff was extremely courteous and helpful. I would gladly recommend this hotel.”

• Amazing restoration of palatial lobby and other common spaces; glamorous federal style décor.
• It's not very convenient to a metro.

“Beautiful pool and Jacuzzi area, really well-done restoration of glamorous federal style decor inside; very helpful staff; very spacious room, unfortunately not very convenient to a metro stop, but short cab ride.”

• Parking for our car was easy & convenient.
• Extra charge for fitness center.

• Poor Wi-Fi. Guest room doors slammed.

• It was clean, well appointed.
• The Starbucks was not full service and closed early. The maid disposed of my plastic eating utensils.

“Upscale hotel in short walking distance from the Woodley metro stop. Nice surroundings with close proximity to stores, shops, and restaurants. The hotel is safe and extremely clean with plenty of fluffy towels and lovely linens.”

• Great location for tourist, very nice staff.
• Had to take smoking room, room was not clean at check in. Bad linens and pillows.

“This hotel is a great hotel for tourists. Very close to a metro stop. Nice large rooms. Beautiful lobby. Very nice staff. The rooms are need of a little updating and a littler cleaner would be nice. The linens were stiff and scratchy and the pillows were a joke -very small!”

• Linens should have been better quality.

• Great location next to beautiful running trail, super-close to the Metro, 10 or more restaurants around the corner.
• Very limited cable channels nothing for kids especially. Virtually no bathroom counter space.

“This is a beautiful hotel, our room was large, pretty, and very clean. We loved the location. The Rock Creek trail was steps out the door and perfect for running. The Metro stop was a block away, most major attractions were only about four quick stops away. For us vegetarians, the nearby restaurants were ideal cute cafe across the street actually had scrambled to on the menu, and the many ethnic restaurants Indian, Chinese, Middle Eastern, Italian around the corner had lots of options. We'd definitely stay here again.”
