  • Room was very clean and comfortable.
  • Outside was run down and construction was underway.

“I very much enjoyed staying here. As I pulled up to the entrance, I wasn't sure how it would be. The outside was in poor condition, but I noticed construction was underway. That made me thinks that the noise would be unbearable, but was understanding due to the run down condition of the hotel. I was pleasantly surprised. The room was cozy, comfortable, and clean, which is what I value most in a hotel. I did not hear any of the renovations outside. It was a pleasant experience, and I would return.”

  • We like the restaurant in the hotel.
  • It was pretty old and needed updates. No access to the metro.

“Sheets didn't fit on the beds and kept on falling off. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.”

  • The price was good.
  • Location and appearance.

“We paid for 2 queen sized beds, and the hotel room that we got only had 2 full beds. It is certainly not walking distance to the metro; you must have a car to drive to it. There was a shuttle service but there was no information about it. Hotel said there was wireless internet; our room did not get it. The TV had about 5 channels all which came in fuzzy, and the continental breakfast consisted of a cup of coffee before 9 am.”

Cleanliness:[2] • Staff:[7] • Location:[3]

  • Convenient to I-95; fairly close to the Washington DC Metro.
  • Gross motel, needs a complete renovation.

“Would not recommend this hotel to others. Very run down and immediate area surrounding hotel did not feel safe. Have stayed at numerous Days Inns in the past and this hotel does not seem to fit in with the chain's image. Not really even a 1 star hotel. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful in general.”

Cleanliness:[8] • Staff:[8] • Location:[9]

  • Close to transportation and clean.
  • Sheets are too tight, my feet couldn't breathe.

“For an inexpensive motel, this Days Inn was very nice. It's walking distance, less than 1/2 block to two bus stops, close to Huntington Metro. Staff was very nice and helpful. Restaurant on-site and breakfast includes English muffins, cereal, juice -- the usual plus Crispy Crème doughnuts. 5 Guys hamburger joint close -- highly recommended! 7-Eleven also close, they sell beer for those interested in having a cold beer after a long day. Pool was closed for season but it looked very clean and welcoming. Some noise from "neighbors" but no more than to be expected. I will stay here again should I need to return.”

Cleanliness:[3] • Staff:[3] • Location:[7]

  • Location.
  • Hotel was dirty, lacked ironing board/iron, ice machine broken, smelly room.

“This hotel was dirty, I had a non-smoking room that smelled like smoke and had cigarette burns all over the tub and carpet. The bed did not have fitted sheet, just a mattress cover, the ice machine did not work and when the staff was notified, they did nothing to correct or accommodate the problem. The room lacked and iron and ironing board. This room was not worth $97 for a one night stay. I spent less 15 hours in this hotel. I would have been better off sleeping in my car or a tent.”

Cleanliness:[4] • Staff:[8] • Location:[4]

  • Very friendly service.
  • Rooms smelled of smoke and too far from DC.

“The staff was very friendly. They treated us well and answered all questions about the surrounding area with authority. The place had free wireless access, but a very weak signal in our room. There was a continental breakfast, an outdoor pool, and close public transportation to the 171 Fairfax bus line and about a mile away from the Yellow metro rail line. The rooms smelled of smoke and we weren't given the choice of smoking or non-smoking room. The carpets also seemed grimy and our socks were dirtier when we went shoe less in the room. For a one star, it was worth it.”

  • Nothing can be liked about this trash yard building I am surprised how in the world they are still in business.

“Dear Sir/ Madam. This time I was shocked . I was only offered a smoking room, where I do not smoke.... the room was dirty... staff unfriendly. I truly believe that I should get my money back. Thank you, Nabeel.”

  • The maid was very helpful. Front Desk was helpful to call taxi.
  • The non-smoking room that I specifically reserve smell like someone has been something in the room. The smoking smell is noticeable

Cleanliness:[7] • Staff:[3] • Location:[7]

  • The housekeeping staff kept the room very cleaned. I was glad that I had a microwave and refrigerator.
  • The elevator needs maintenance work. I was not able to get much sleep at night due to loudness of other people.

“I felt that the hotel was easy accessible to beltway. However, I had several sleepless nights due to the high volumes of other people within the other rooms. Also, when I needed to use the computer at the business center, there was no toner in the printer and the hotel staff was not helpful at all in replacing the toner.”

Cleanliness:[7] • Staff:[10] • Location:[8]

  • Location OK, lots of parking.
  • Room was run down, rusty fixtures, wallpaper falling down, etc.

“Location was not bad, close to Metro, only problem was with construction going on it. Was a little hard getting in/out of hotel. Staff was very friendly. Rooms needed some updates, metal fixtures were rusty, stains all over walls. Needed fresh paint and some new wallpaper. Room was dark and drab.”

  • The night auditor was very helpful in giving us directions to the Metro and the best places to eat.
  • The complimentary breakfast was excellent except that the orange juice was a little weak on the first day.

“Laundry service was appreciated. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very sufficient. It was so nice and convenient that I changed my itinerary in order to stay an additional day.”

  • There's a good pizza/gyros restaurant on the ground floor.
  • My room key didn't work - two days in a row. Cable reception was poor.

“Nothing special, but adequate for tourists. Good for kids - pool on interior courtyard. Pizza/gyros restaurant on ground floor.”

Cleanliness:[10] • Staff:[10] • Location:[8]

  • The willingness of the desk personnel to be helpful in giving needed directions about metro, town, transportation, dining.
  • Toilet flush valve needed rreplaced and not just babied along. considerable patron noise on Fri. night. Repetitive.

“We liked the refrigerator in the room, the friendliness of all attendants, the walking closeness to the Metro, and the breakfasts. The location on a major artery to D.C. and to alternate arteries is excellent. We recommend this motel to any visitor who wants only a comfortable sleeping facility at a reasonable price.”
