“The hotel was beautiful, and the shuttle service was fantastic. We rarely had to wait more than a few minutes for a shuttle to the metro, mall, and restaurants. Our view from our even- numbered room was spectacular of Washington, the pentagon, and the air force monument. It also had a nice 16th floor veranda outside the pool area, and a lifeguard on duty at the small pool. My only two complaints were the remoteness (as far as walking anywhere) and that parking was $16/day.”

“This could be a nice place to stay if the people who manned the front desk and lobby had any idea how to manage crowds and keep customers moving. I'm not old, and I'm not a prude, but I was tired of the foul language of other guests in front of my kids.”

“Overall the hotel was very nice with large rooms and very comfortable beds. The shower was great! The view from the room, we were originally given, was less than spectacular, but upon request we were changed to a room on the opposite side of the hotel that delivered a view of DC. Staff were very friendly and accommodating and the shuttle service to the Metro was prompt and efficient. All in all, the only negative of this hotel was its location in a somewhat less than desirable neighborhood, although we never felt unsafe during our stay. Would readily recommend to any of my friends.”

“If you are stuck with a room in the adjoining building, you have to take an elevator up to the mezzanine level, then climb a flight of stairs with your luggage, cross the bridge, then climb down another flight of stairs with your luggage, then take another elevator down. But if the elevator on the right doesn't open first, and the other elevator opens, you have to close the door on that elevator, wait till it leaves, then push the elevator button again and wait for the elevator on the far right to open, because that's the only elevator that will go down to the basement. Then when you get to the room, it's dark and dank, because you are in the basement. Internet called "high-speed, for which you have to pay $10+ per day, is hardly faster than dial-up. I had to go take a shower while I waited for my email to download.”

“Sheraton has gone somewhat downhill lately. Staff is not very helpful and has a 'carefree' attitude upon check-in and out. Starwood beds are the best in the business though and usually worth the stay. This hotel has the best breakfast buffet I've had at a hotel and I travel a lot. Well done.”

“The hotel was very nice; the only problem was that I had to go to the front desk on a couple of maintenance problems. The first room we were in the shower Curtin rod was falling off the wall, they moved us to a different room the following day. The air conditioner did not work properly, it would never shut off. They sent the maintenance people up twice to fix the problem and it was never fixed. When we checked out I told them again the unit would not shut off. The TV remote was missing the back that holds the batteries in, the batteries kept falling out, I called and asked them to get a back for it or replace it, and it was not fixed. The next morning I took it to the front desk and gave it to them and asked that it be fixed or replaced, when we returned to the hotel it was fixed. The hotel was a very nice hotel and if they would pay more attention to the small problems it would make the stay for people a lot more enjoyable. In the past I have stayed in Sheraton Hotels around the world and the hotels in places like Asia are a lot more customers oriented than this hotel appears to be.”

“In general, the hotel was clean and accommodating. The staff was very friendly and able to promptly answer our questions. The room had a great view and comfortable bed. The only problem for us was the location, which was somewhat inconvenient for us.”

“This is a very nice upscale hotel with a courteous staff. Our room had a great view of DC and was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The hotel's convenient shuttle service to the Metro station runs every half hour. The negatives: Fees for parking ($16.00 per day), and internet usage. The surrounding neighborhood looks a bit impoverished, but other than that we enjoyed our stay, and would stay at this hotel again.”

“Hotel was clean, neighborhood nothing special but close to metro by shuttle, shuttle often full. Pool area nice but noisy, kids allowed to be unsupervised by parent when lifeguard on duty. With our room, pay parking internet plus cable channels were very limited.”
