  • The actual building was quite nice.
  • Parking garage and rooms were dated, I hate when you have to pay for parking.

“We enjoyed our stay and the actual hotel was very nice but we were not as pleased with the actual rooms, the rooms just seemed like they needed updating but they were clean, beds were also a little uncomfortable. LOVED all of the elevators..sometimes hotels don't have enough to support the number of rooms. Never had a problem with waiting with so many elevators.”

  • The bartender.
  • Shuttle bus pickup is not consistent.

“The bathtubs in this hotel look filthy and should be replaced. After waiting at the airport for 30 minutes on the shuttle, I called the hotel and once they contacted the driver, the bus was too full after the Pentagon City pick up; so he went straight back to the hotel. It was freezing outside. Since the airport was his normal route, he should have stopped by to notify us to wait for the next bus inside where it was warm!”

  • Clean.
  • Distance from the attractions we visited; no continental breakfast.

“Hotel was neat and clean, but no continental breakfast. Shuttle service was good but it seemed to be a little far to and from the Marta terminal.”

  • Spacious room.
  • Parking.

“Everything was good except the bell hop was rude and the parking garage was tight and cost $9 a day.”

  • Good friendly staff.

“Excellent hotel.”

  • The front desk staff was very accommodating and friendly.
  • The hotel is very worn looking.

“The hotel room was not very clean. The daily cleaning was inconsistent. It was great to have a refrigerator in the room, but it did not work properly.”

  • Expensive dining.

“Good location, and very nice staff.”

  • We thought the room itself was a nice size with a decent view.
  • So far outside of Old Town. Never would have booked had we known.

“Definitely a conference hotel, while we thought the price and the room itself were decent, the location was a disappointment.”

  • Staff was friendly and the general location was suitable for our requirements.
  • Maid service lacked in performance forgetting some supplies.

“Though this hotel was classified in old town Alexandria, it was a distance away from that location. I never stayed at a hotel where parking was an add-on cost. That does not appear to be consistent for none of the other hotels on our trip did the same.”

  • The shuttle service was good for vacationers.
  • Internet access was not free.

“The hotel was comfortable. The shuttle service provided convenient transportation to Nation Airport, metro station and Pentagon City. The hotel lacked free continental breakfast and free Internet access, which was desirable for a family of three on a prolonged vacation.”

  • Friendly staff, beautiful view, spacious, met every need.
  • Nothing to say.

“Great location, a little difficult getting to old town Alexandria, only complaint. Beautiful views, exceptionally clean, wonderful friendly staff.”

  • The picture window in the rooms.

“Very comfortable.”

  • The location was excellent.
  • Room was in an annex that could only be accessed by confusing tunnels underground or outside at night.

“The annex was rundown and isolated. However, the room was well-maintained and appropriate for the price.”

  • Cleanliness, friendliness and the location.
  • I found nothing that could be put in a negative category.

“Everyone was very friendly, the service was great. Everything the Hilton stands for.”

  • The shuttle to the metro was a nice feature, running on the hour and half hour very promptly.
  • The only breakfast option is the hotel restaurant and it is pretty pricey.

“I felt this was a good value for the price we paid. We didn't use most of the features, but did appreciate the very good maid service (plenty of towels and toiletries), timely shuttle to the metro and pickup from the metro back to the hotel. We asked for a quiet room location and did not hear any noise or door slamming in the morning.”

  • Nothing

“This was the worst experience we had on a 2 week vacation in DC and Virginia. My wife is allergic to smoke and they would only give us a smoking room. Said they were fully booked but the parking lot had very few cars. I doubt they were. The room smelled so badly of smoke that we had to leave the outside door open and even then neither my wife or I got much sleep that night. My wife felt awful the next morning on our return trip home. Also, I wanted a place close to Old Town Alexandria and we ended up 30 minutes away and paid $20 for a cab ride to that area.”

  • Getting an additional day was a tiresome process.

“Room was run down; needed refurnishing. If I were traveling on my Hilton Honors card I would have gotten a better room. Maid service shipped a day. Will never stay there again. Really surprised Hilton would treat me and my companions this way. We had a total of 7 nights on this visit.”

  • Nothing!
  • The bell staff were arrogant and cocky!

“This hotel is a scam. The bell staff and concierge were immigrants and did not know anything. The rooms are old and dull!”

“Walking into the hotel my son's friend after seeing the large public spaces and beautiful marble throughout remarked that we must be millionaires. The staff
was great, everything was taken care of promptly.”

  • The king sized bed and the huge tube.
  • The coloring in the room was bland.

“The $50 dollars a night deposit was ridiculous considering that parking was only $13 a night. I got the difference back when I left, but that needs to be warned to people prior to checking in. The hotel itself was great. It was very clean, the house keepers stopped everyday, and the view on the 24th floor is great. The food in the hotel dining area I had expected to get at least full on $25 but the portions was small, but it was lemony good.”
