• Great value for the price; well staffed.
• Close to road with heavy truck traffic.

“Clean with competent service, this motel exceeds expectations for a two star motel. Helpful staff ensured we had a room away from the traffic on the highway. Excellent location for access to everything of interest to us. Cannot find words to fully express how much we got for our money. Security, a prime consideration, was good.”

• Spacious room.
• There was mold on the wallpaper in the bathroom.

“Located for easy access to the highways and restaurants. Very friendly staff and good service. Attractive on the outside. The rooms were mostly clean with a lot of space.”

• It cost me $53 and was worth the money.
• I didn't feel good about the bed that the sheets might not have been changed.

“I was tempted to call the desk to have the sheets changed but didn't. I had a problem with the computer key to enter the room. I always had to fiddle with it.”

• The housekeeping staff exceeded my expectations & helped me with my luggage.
• Showers went from hot to ice cold and then back to hot and ice cold

“Over all an ok experience I would not recommend this hotel for travel to Hershey, PA; it was a little too far. Great price and decent accommodations close to several chain fast foods and a k mart.”

“The hotel was located at 1245 Harrisburg Pike, Carlisle, PA 17013. I was very disappointed with my accommodations i.e. customer service, facility and security. The attendant on duty was not hospitable, the grounds were un-kept, and my room reeked of cigarette smoke and coffee. My room was located behind the main building in an area that was poorly lit and unsecured. No pass key was required for the entrance and the door was wide opened any passer-by could have entered at will. There were 4 females in my party including myself; I feared for my safety as well as for the others in my party I was so distraught about the accommodations; after 2 hours I went back to the front desk to check out. I expressed my concerns to the attendant on duty and asked to speak with the manager. I was told there was not a manager on duty and I could not receive a refund. I then inquired about a customer comment card. After several minutes of searching, the attendant couldn't find a card. I was finally handed a blank piece of paper from the printer to lodge my complaint on. The Howard Johnson Inn didn't meet any of my expectations; this was my first and last stay with HOJO.”

• The 2 restaurant waitresses were excellent!!!!!!
• The Mattress was terrible and the restaurant was just about out of everything! NO Bread, Come on!

“The lobby was nice and clean. What food the restaurant had was good but they were always out of what I wanted. The evening staff was great, the morning staff didn't speak English too well so there was a lot of misunderstandings and they would forget things we asked for. The room was decent but we were put at the furtherest point on the grounds. The King mattress was deplorable. No worse than that!! The springs were pushing through and the pillows were as bad.”

• Other areas besides restaurant and rooms were not clean, I saw molds.
