  • The showers are very relaxing.
  • Loud. Lots of kids running around. Rooms are noisy due to proximity to Capital Beltway.

“It's an older hotel, showing it's age. The elevators are tiny and slow. Good luck catching one if there's much of a line. It's also one of the noisiest places I've ever stayed in. The roar of the Beltway in your room will be constant, puncuated by occasional slams from compressors shutting down. Get a good night's sleep
before you arrive; you won't get one after.”

  • Location for our schedule.
  • Windows could not keep out the traffic noise from their beltway Interstate.

“Clean and comfortable but the highway noise, even on the seventh floor is too much. Don't know if it would be better in a room closer to the front.”

  • Friendly staff.
  • The hotel is rather start in comparison to other comparable hotels in the area. The staff, however, are so nice at the front desk, it makes up for it.

“We always have a good experience at the Westin. Breakfast was good this time, but anything else to do with dining is not great.”

  • Friendly service in all areas except the restaurant. New decor is great!
  • The restaurant always gets low marks; not necessarily the food, but the service in the dining room. Same old. The lounge staff is great.

“The hotel has improved tremendously in looks; the front desk have always been exceptional; the lounge wait staff is great too. The restaurant staff needs training on how to be gracious to guests etc.”

  • The shower heads.
  • The people are friendly, but incompetent.

“Good location near Tyson's Corner, but you should expect to spend a lot of time with management. I finally gave up and started paying for erroneous charges rather than invest the time to correct them. I think the management counts on its guests being too busy to argue over all the hidden charges. You're much better off at the Marriott across the Beltway.”

  • Open air concert going on outside our window until 11:00 PM.

“Excellent location; fabulous service and amenities; outstanding staff. If you get a room facing the inner harbor, however, you will hear any concert going on until 11:00 PM, which can be a challenge if you need to go to sleep before that hour.”

  • Very Clean comfortable Beds and linens.
  • Restaurant was terrible!

“This was a very nice Hotel. It was nice looking and very clean. There was ample Free Parking. The Hotel is 12 miles from Downtown D.C. The beds were extremely comfortable and the linens were very nice. The first night we stayed here we checked, dropped off our bags, and went out to see the city. When we returned the Keys would not unlock the door. It turned out there was a problem with the battery and the repair man could not get there until Morning. We were given another room and toiletries. At 7am they were able to unlock the door and get us our things. The Manager gave us free lunch as compensation; however the restaurant food was terrible! We traveled as a couple with our two small children.”
