  • Very helpful/comfortable stay at your facility will use your facility again.

“Outstanding. Staff was very friendly. Friends were married during our stay. The entire group enjoyed the hospitality. Thank you.”

  • The historic quality and location in the center of the village.
  • Traffic noise!

“Lovely historic hotel in center of historic village. Many shops and restaurants within walking distance. Room was comfortable but traffic noise did not allow us a good nights sleep.”

  • This hotel was very clean and bright. The location was perfect for a family with children. We loved it.
  • There was no refrigerator and the beds were uncomfortable. We would have liked more reasonable priced restaurants.

“The hotel is beautiful on the outside and the inside. It was very clean. The children liked the pool which was outside. The location is perfect for many walking activities. The only downfall for us was having no refrigerator. With little children it is a must. We also thought the mattresses were uncomfortable. But we would definetly stay again!!”

  • Quiet, except for train next door at 5 AM, whistle blowing.
  • Bathroom bath fan extremely loud
at cover missing showing mounds of dust.

“Pillows uncomfortable, and carpeting either worn or needs a good cleaning, no free parking.”

  • Location within center of town.
  • Dining room was never open for supper.

“Jacuzzi had a film scum first time use. Sitting area was smaller than expected.”

  • Beautiful, historic, elegant.
  • Check clerk was very unfriendly. Breakfast hostess was incompetent.

“Beautiful, modern historical hotel in historical Gettysburg. Very nice room, everything worked, check out clerk was friendly and helpful, food was okay. They just need to fire the night clerk, and the breakfast hostess and I would have no complaints.”

  • The room was nice and spacious.
  • The Jacuzzi didn't work, room service was limited, bar closed early.

“The hotel was pretty from the outside, the desk people were very friendly. I was bummed our jacuzzi didn't work as I paid extra for it. Their breakfast wasn't good. We couldn't get coffee sent to our rooms because they don't do room service just for drinks, so it was an ok visit, I wouldn't stay there again.”

  • Great location.
  • Small room.

“This is an historic, old hotel. However, they need to update the decor. The carpets were dirty. There were stains on the drapes. The windows were so dirty that you could not see through them. The bed was very tiny. The location of this hotel is wonderful. It is a very quaint hotel.”

Cleanliness:[8] • Staff:[8] • Location:[9]

  • Right in down town Gettysburg.
  • Terrible beds and rented VHS tapes and machines.

“Good if you are not looking for any extra's like a good nights sleep or a movie that has come out in the last three years. Nice pool though.”

  • Great location; nice historic atmosphere.
  • Hotel restaurant not worth premium price.

“The location in the heart of old Gettysburg cannot be beat. The staff was very friendly and dressed in historic outfits.”

  • Location and convenience to down town Gettysburg.
  • Room accommodations somewhat dated.

“Charming hotel lobby, lounge and other public facilities in down town Gettysburg. Excellent location (on the square) convenient to down town tourist attractions. Room accommodations were somewhat dated, but clean. Jacuzzi tub in room was more of a standard shower/bathtub set up with jets added to the tub.”

Cleanliness:[9] • Staff:[8] • Location:[7]

  • Very clean Hotel.
  • Traffic noise.

“We stayed at the Gettysburg Hotel for two nights. The room was very clean and did not have that typical hotel smell. It was pleasant. They had Bath and Body Works lotion, shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner to use. The towels were very thick and large. My only complaint, and if you plan to get up extra early in the morning it will not be a problem for you, is the noise. The hotel is right on a circle. The traffic is very loud. I was up very early both mornings.”

  • Nice ambiance, conveniently located. Had a large room that was well appointed with all of the amenities we were looking for at a reasonable price.
  • The outdoor pool was small and crowded. The bed was very hard and uncomfortable.

“Although there were a few disappointing features of the hotel (the Jacuzzi tub needed some grout around the outside and the shower liner needed to be replaced - it was dingy on the bottom. We were quite happy with our stay and would go back again. We would also recommend this to friends and neighbors. I think with a few tweaks this could be an amazing hotel. I would add a vanity chair in the bathroom for more comfort and would give guests a choice of pillow types. The bed was extremely hard and uncomfortable to sleep on. So I would suggest firm but more comfortable sleeping accommodations.”

  • Historic atmosphere with modern luxury and convenience, great staff.
  • On main thoroughfare with traffic noise.

“Great historical atmosphere, central location on the town square. Very convenient to Historic District, but be aware that just about all traffic goes around the round about on the Town Square, including trucks and emergency vehicles. Parking is in garage behind, paid by the day, as Downtown Gettysburg parking is expensive. Good alley access from the garage to rear of hotel. Rooms are nice, spacious, though mine could have had more lighting--one end had no lights at all. Very comfortable bed! Restaurant downstairs (dinner) is great, but was seriously understaffed the night I ate there (one server, who was making a valiant effort to do it all). There is a breakfast buffet for $9.99, nothing fancy, but what I had was good. Costumed staff at the front desk.”

Cleanliness:[9] • Staff:[4] • Location:[10]

  • The location. Close to everything in town.
  • The servers in the hotel restaurant were rude and horrible.

“This is a centrally located in the heart of Gettysburg. The hotel has nice furnishings and the tavern appeared pleasant. The front desk staff was friendly, but the waitresses in the restaurant ignored us. Would never eat there again. This is an attractive hotel. The windows in our room were dirty. This I found unacceptable.”

Cleanliness:[7] • Staff:[8] • Location:[7]

  • It was in a very good location.
  • Having to pay for parking and breakfast.

“I did not enjoy the fact that the hotels pool was outdoors and the fact that they charged for parking. The breakfast did not impress me and the idea that they charged $10 per plate was very disappointing. However, the hotel was clean, the staff seemed nice, and the hotel room was exceptional.”
