• It's location, next to the intersection.
• The rooms were under repair, including the pool.

“The rooms had spider webs all over the AC unit was not caulked in, the room had a stale smell, I would have gotten another hotel, but I would have lost money, the hotel was under renovation, including the pool. You should have known that the hotel was under construction!”

• The room was clean.
• Appearance was very bad, non working pool.

“Looked like something from a horror movie on the outside, parking lot and pool area. Mostly vacant. Poor continental breakfast.”

• Friendly desk clerk.
• The room smelled like body odor.

“We did not stay. The room was dark, dingy, and smelled like body odor or animal. In the entire facility there were only 6 cars while across the street the Ramada parking lot was packed. Does that tell you something?”

“This is going to take a moment. To say that we were disappointed in an under statement and here's why the room is in a depressed part of Petersburg. This hotel was no exception. The lawns were not mowed. All of the paint (inside and out) was chipping off. The non smoking rooms smelled of smoke and mildew. The walls were mildew stained from the air conditioning ducts. The carpets smelled and were pretty grimy and yes we saw bugs in our room. We got there so late and were so unfamiliar with the area that we were forced to stay. Breakfast really worst and the restaurant was in West Indian elephant motif, complimented with old booths, dirty tables and food under the table. Needles to say, we ate elsewhere. I can still remember the smell of the rooms. The only people that should come to this hotel are the demolition team.”

• The staff was very accomadating to me. Very friendly.
• It was too close to the interstate. Steady noise from interstate traffic.

“Great price for the quality of the hotel however, it is too close to interstate 95. They need to do something to help with noise reduction of the steady traffic. Great attentive staff..”

• The room was clean enough and adequate for our needs
• Just had the feeling of a cheap motel - no amenities or extra pillows/blankets)

“OK for a place to sleep, but wouldn't want to spend any time there. Staff was accommodating - we missed the complimentary breakfast, and they offered to make a bagel or english muffin for us 20 minutes after breakfast closed. About what you'd expect for the price.”

“We did not stay at the hotel because we learned from local people that the hotel had a VERY bad reputation for drugs and shootings.”

“The hotel was very run down and in a part of town that you wouldn't want to go out after dark. The staff were cordial however overall it was very low as far as a rating and overall cleanliness and amenities.”
