• Convenient to highway, fast food and stores.
• There were cigarette burns in the rug and chair. When I asked to switch to a double bed room I was told no.

• I loved the fact that it had a kitchenette inside the room. I love to cook even when I'm not home.
• We had our kids, and it was a bit small for us.

“Great location and comfort for this level hotel. Customer service is wonderful! This is the only hotel I've stayed at when traveling to Richmond in the past year.”

• It was cheap and close to where I needed to be.
• It was very much one star.

“I would not recommend that specific hotel for other people. But I was not looking for luxury; I just needed a place to crash on business for one day.”

• The way service was handled with a complaint.

“I complained about the music the guest in the next room was playing. It was very loud and they were singing in the wee hours of the morning. They did not stop until 6:00 a/m and me nor my fiancé got any sleep. I called and complained three times and nothing was done.”

• It had a little kitchenette.
• If you have 2 adults and a child you end up with one bed that is a smoking room and the hotel doesn't want to upgrade you.

“I booked a room and we needed accommodations for 2 adults and a child and they do not give you that option to select 2 beds, non smoking. They assume that one bed is fine with a smoking preference! Even if there are two adults that require separate beds you are still out of luck.”

• It was clean, had good access and workers were helpful and friendly.
• There is nothing I did not like.

“My daughter attends the University and the hotel is located very near the school. It is a great place to stay for parents who would like to visit their kids for a couple of nights. It could also work for other type of travelers. I had an excellent experience.”

• Lack of shampoo.

“I was very satisfied for the price I paid. The one thing I forgot to pack was shampoo. The one thing they did not provide was shampoo. Because they had kitchenettes in the room they did not serve breakfast. Since I was only there for one night I did not want to purchase bread, cereal, etc. for breakfast so had to eat out. Staff was very friendly. Overall, very satisfactory.”

• The mini kitchen was very helpful.
• I could smell the cigarette smoke from neighboring rooms.

“The mini kitchen in this hotel allows the business traveler or family to keep their food costs down. The bed isn't that comfortable. This is a place to sleep, eat, and leave.”

• I liked having the mini kitchen for cooking.
• The coffee creamer and sugar were not refilled daily and the walls were very thin. I didn't feel entirely safe traveling alone with a young child.

• Breakfast very poor.

“I am reviewing the Sea deluxe because when I got to the Sea they had no rooms left! They wanted to send me back on the highway to another hotel. I insisted on the Sea deluxe across the way and since someone had just canceled, I got a room. The Sea is horrible - I have stayed there before and never want to again.”

• Location was decent; option of wireless internet a nice plus.
• Do not have maid service; wireless internet was not free, staff generally aloof.

“Not bad, given the price it was reasonable. Travelers should not expect maid service more than once per week, any extra is a cost. Staff was not well-informed and there was some struggle getting any help from them. That said, upon arrival the room was clean and their TV channel selection was pretty good. Ample parking as well.”
