“The hotel is in the middle of a major revamp of its rooms. While I appreciate this as consumer and business woman. I have to say it was a nightmare trying to get any rest here. It was constant noise and drilling despite the clerk at the desk saying that the construction should only be audible from 9 am to 5pm. Horrible.”

“The hotel is fine. It has a good location if you want to walk around downtown Richmond and see lots of sites. The hotel seems to be in the middle of some extensive rehab, which started at 0900; it was very loud. Don't plan on sleeping past 0900 or even sitting comfortably in your room past that hour.”

“I was very unhappy with the location of the hotel. The room that I was staying in was on a floor that is under construction and the smell was awful. I waited thirty five minutes for a salad in the restaurant and then was never checked on again.”

“The area dies out at night, but you can take advantage of the shuttle which will take you to areas close by until 11:00pm. I recommend this hotel and I tend to be picky!”

“I was not at all impressed with this hotel. While it was downtown and convenient to the courthouse, it was not in a very nice neighborhood. There were very few options for dinner. There was no free parking available. After parking in the parking garage I checked into the hotel and then left to go get dinner. I had to pay $8.00 to get out of the parking garage and then an additional $14.00 the next morning. As a business traveler, I was extremely disappointed that internet service was $9.95 per day. I will not stay in this hotel again. Not business travel friendly!”

“The hotel over all was great. I liked the area, the people and the way the Hotel looked. My biggest issue was the parking. Maybe it's me, but I feel if I'm a guest staying at your place of business. I'm already spending money sleeping, dining and drinking at the bar. Offer me free parking. They had parking, but it was either $14.00 a day and if you leave and come back, you had to pay the $14.00 again or pay $18.00 a day for valet parking.”

“Hotel was clean and easy to find. Was within a reasonable walking distance of several downtown attractions. Parking was a little confusing at check in as the was little place to park but was fine the later 2 times I returned to the hotel. Checking in was a little slower than most 3-star hotels as the were several checking in for a convention at the same time as I and the wait was a little longer than expected. The convention arriving is likely what parking difficulty when I checked in. The only big negative was when I wanted to get a cold drink from the vending machine both the ice and drink machines on my floor would not work. Went to the next lower floor, ice machine also not working and the drink machine was empty (this was in the afternoon). Finally two floors down I found a both machines working. Room was very nice and clean.”

“The hotel staffing was excellent for their friendliness. We also enjoyed its diversity in staffing. The room accommodation was comfortable and clean. The I liked the amenities of their fitness area and internet access. We felt the hotel was geared toward business customers and lacks a little variety toward vacation/leisure customers visiting the Richmond area. All in all, the hotel was very good, but not best we've seen.”

“I really like this hotel. It is convenient to everything in town for sightseeing. The staff is very nice and helpful as well. They have a great breakfast buffet and the chef for making your omelets is very friendly. Having a bar/ linger is nice to have when coming back form where ever you have been to just relax before retiring for the night. We will definitely say there again.”

“Very convenient to capital square. Everyone working there was very nice and helpful. The room was very comfortable. Adequate workout facilities. No complaints about the hotel itself. Restaurant meal and service were good, although I was served wine in a filthy glass with something caked on the outside rim (this was corrected quickly when I pointed it out).”

“All in all the hotel was as good if not better than the times I have stayed there in the past. I can certainly say the restaurant was about the best of any hotel I have stayed in in the past year. On the other side of the coin I would knock before I enter a room for the first time, there is likely to be a bit of disorganization when it comes to checking in.”
