• I like how big the room was.
• I didn't like how dark the overall hotel. If it was a little brighter that would've been nice.

“The hotel was fairly cheap and a nice place to stay. The room was also much bigger then I first anticipated. It was very clean which makes a big difference to me as a traveler. However I did think the room was just a little dark and dreary for my tastes, but it certainly wasn't bad. The hotel staff was exceptionally helpful and kind. As was the lounge staff and the restaurant staff. Overall it was a good experience. I would most likely recommend the hotel.”

• 2 Swimming pools, convenient location.
• The exterior was run down, unclean parking lots, too dim lit halls.

“The hotel restaurant was excellent. The parking lots were unclean and the halls were very dimly lit and uncomfortable. The two pools were nice and clean and the staff was friendly. Nice hotel but the exterior is looking a bit worn also. Nice rooms.”

• Easy access.
• Roof was leaking and water came trough the sealing in the room.

“Over all not a bad place to stay. The place needs a bit of work looks a bit tired and the roof has to be fixed. Staff is very friendly.”

• To much bare space in lobby & hallway areas.

“It has a lounge/restaurant on premises which is always a plus in my book, besides having the pool/work out room. Yes, it was pretty outdated but it had everything I was looking for.”

• Great for 5 of us to stay at.
• No AC, internet only available in lobby, pool area dirty.

“We enjoyed our stay but some things needed to be improved, the stairwell area never got cleaned same dirt there for 3 days, everyone complaining about the air conditioning. We had to go to the lobby to connect to internet when it was said it was available in room. Inside pool area was not that clean and pool could use updated men's bathroom at pool area did not even have a door on one of the stalls.”

• Convenient to interstate.
• Smelled smoky, flies and bugs in room, bed old and uncomfortable.

“What a disappointment! This unmodernized hotel smelled smoky, and the bed was old and uncomfortable. I killed one bug, but was never able to kill the fly that buzzed around me all night. It seemed like this hotel hasn't done any remodeling since 1975.”

• Its near some decent restaurants.
• Nothing about the hotel appears to work together.

“Hotel is in need of a complete overhaul. Hallway appeared to lack A/C. The 1st room I was in had a clicking A/C fan and a bathroom that needed caulking and seemed to be put together by a half blind handy man with a bent level and just a little less material than what the job called for. The room appeared to be held together waiting for a big remodel that no one wants to pay for. The second room had a shower without a soap dish but 3 shower heads. It would have been fancy except only one head worked- the other two just dribbled.”

• The hotel staff was exceptionally nice and there were a lot of freebies for the kids.
• Cleanliness was not the best.

“Pretty standard accommodations but they really catered to the kids with treats on arrival and free meals in the restaurant. It ended up being a great family experience.”

• Staff was very pleasant.
• Beds/pillows were not comfortable and hotel was in 'older' condition.

“It fit my needs of a lower priced hotel near the concert venue. I did not spend much time in the room, so it was fine from that end. We did try the indoor pool and it was fine, not great, but fine. Overall condition of the hotel was not great. Clearly they needed to update the carpets in the hallways and rooms as well as the beds and pillows (not comfortable). Hotel staff was very courteous, pleasant and helpful. Location was fine and close to the thruway.”

“This hotel fell far short of the 2 star rating! Lobby is attractive and staff friendly. Thats where it ends. Bathroom small and mold on the tiles. Plumbing leaked onto floor (this was repaired when brought to attention.)”

• Only available hotel near Darien Lake park.
• Overpriced for the quality or lack thereof.

“This is a strange hotel with huge open areas not furnished well and with no apparent use. The only amenity was coffee. Very disappointing, all in all.”

• The help was nice and friendly.
• When you enter the hotel it had a lemon order. The carpets and everything was very old and out dated. I feel I spent too much money for this hotel.

• Coffee pot in bath room with coffee. Gross.

“The power went out and never did they offer a extra night stay. Offer a meal or any thing. The coffee pot in the bathroom was just gross. It was bolted down. This means how does it ever get washed. Other than that it was a good hotel.”

• Worked hard to meet needs of blizzard 'refugees'.
• The 'gym' was sparse, freezing and locker area smelled. Hotel a little tatty.

“Best hotel in Batavia. Corrected any issues quickly, served a wonderful buffet breakfast. Hotel is better than it used to be and looks like they are working hard to make it even better. Indoor pool area and gym need a make over.”
